First forget the 4670, the 4690 is the newer model at unbelievably, £1 cheaper.
Second forget the non-K versions, for an extra £10, you get the 4690K. Unless that is you fancy joining me in the delidders club (no, seriously, don't do it). Also K chips have a higher resale value so you won't lose that tenner.
You get a massive choice of motherboards, from the super cheap yet suprisingly good value MSI H81M-E33 to about as much cash as you want to spend

Ths 1150 socket (used by all 4 chips) is well supported, the price band you choose from depends on what you want to plug into it and do with it. Don't risk expensive components on cheap motherboards, and don't expect a £35 motherboard to like you whopping up the voltages like you are trying to reanimate Frankensteins monster.
