For all those players using this texture pack. Were you always annoyed by Mario's eyes? Or the sign post? Well, be annoyed no longer. Just download update V1.4.1! It requires update V1.4 through. Thanks to Thrakk for pointing it out and providing the files. I did work some of my magic on it through also made them available in DDS format.

I merge the update into one single download when I am doing a larger update. (06-22-2017, 05:59 AM)e2zippo Wrote: I love the pack but the eyes did bug me, glad to have that fixed, thanks! I was quite reluctant providing an update only for the eyes. I tend to update when there are sufficient improvements. However, there is simply not much left to do with this texture pack currently. I just was not bothered enough by the eyes enough purely to fix only that, but in combination with the complaints about the eyes and the amount of time since the last update... Smaller updates are just a chore, the bigger ones are more fun to work on. Let's just update it and be done with it . I don't know when the next update will be yet. As I said I merge the update into the main pack if there are sufficient changes for the next update... Or... When my upload speed is upgraded through fiber within a few months. For now, I am glad I finally did an update and fixed those eyes once and for all... I should never have used the previous eyes at all. Still, high quality is a must-have for this project. While the eyes looks like Mario is having a blast and out from this world, the image quality itself is quite sharp and of high-resolution (512x512). So a replacement should offer at least similar quality. The replacement is through some magic adjustments at a resolution of 256x256. Back on the topic of texture packs. As I said in my previous post, I intend to make by comeback soon, hopefully next month. There is still lot's of work to port. The Next Project (WIP): 06-26-2017, 02:16 AM
I found that the widescreen cheat (NTSC-U 16:9) make the textbox really glitch. When you get to big bomb-omb things gets worst, affecting the pause menu too.

Code: 16:9 Gecko Code Super Mario 64 (VC) NTSC-U: 06-26-2017, 03:39 AM
he does not mean that code below, that code is the one working and doesnt fuck up textboxes if used alone
Website is gamemasterplc.com. Youtube Channel is gamemasterplc.

I never encountered the issue described by matheusstaffa before. But which code is having an issue then? So many versions, I am getting confussed sometimes . If I should fix the main post, just point it out! I guess the issue is caused by a combination of multiple codes. Any codes you have enabled @matheusstaffa? Try disabling them all except for the widescreen code and check if it is still causing issues. 06-26-2017, 10:30 AM
I have tested the code alone and i can affirm that the widescreen code have problems. The code i have tested is that:
$ Widescreen Aspect Ratio Fix for 16:9 (Gecko Code) 48000000 8019E450 DE000000 80008180 1427D5D0 10000044 142CFCAC 252A0118 142CFC88 27180028 142CFC8C 44982000 142DB3C4 3C05C400 142DB3D4 3C054126 E0000000 80008000 C2052268 00000003 3F203B99 9329052C 3F20BF40 93290530 2C190000 00000000 C204EAF0 00000006 38610048 3C003F40 90020000 C2220000 C0030000 EC110032 D0030000 C003000C EC110032 D003000C 60000000 00000000

Did you per chance left the Extended Draw Distance AR Code enabled by accident? That code is causing issues with the 16:9 Widescreen Gecko code. In fact the same issues you were having. Different widescreen code versions do not matter with how well it works with the Extended Draw Distance code, so I will update the main page with the newest version. The Extended Draw Distance AR Code causes graphical glitches with textboxes and the pause menu in some stages (Bob-Omb Battlefield for example) in combination with a widescreen code. Lethal Lava Land however seems to work fine.
I would recommend the latest 16:9 Widescreen Gecko Code by gamemasterplc then since it has the fewest issues or even none at all if used isolated. EDIT: Ok, updated main post with the latest 16:9 Widescreen code for NTSC-U. Also added a warning for codes which are not compatible with the widescreen codes. Sorry @gamemasterplc for taking so long to update the main post. I just needed to properly check the code before listing it. The latest version is indeed the superior one, I just had to see that for myself. |
