After running Dolphin for about 5 minutes I start getting Ghost Touches where the screen registers taps on its own.

This issue only seems to happen with Dolphin and nothing else.

Is this an issue with the Snapdragon 810 chipset overheating or have others experienced these input glitches too ?

Nothing else I do with this phone causes these issues no matter how long I play.

Any input is appreciated.

I thought the problem was that you're getting random input. :3

Interesting issue. I've never encountered it since I primarily test with gamepads, it'll have to be something to test.

Do you have any intensive games you play as well?  If yes, can you verify that the ghost touches do not occur in those applications either? Android has very low priority for touch input and when a device is under heavy load and throttles (like the S810 in many instances) it is very possible to get ghost touches.  My N5 often exhibited a similar behaviour when I played games.

I would like to know if your tests can produce similar results.

It's difficult to say what is really intensive these days but last night I did run Chaos Rings 3 for 2 and a half hours without any issues.

It's strange because this happens after maybe 5 - 10 minutes running dolphin.

I do set frameskip to 1 and "overclock" set to 0.25 if this makes a difference.

If it is due to low touch input priority then is there a way to prioritise this or move it higher on the list.

The actual throttling is not that bad as it goes away in a couple minutes and jumps back up in speed.

That's very interesting.  Do the ghost touches go away if you stop interacting with the display?

No it keeps tapping at a certain area I had tapped before so it continues through the OS and continually taps that same area opens apps on the homescreen.

It goes away once I restart the device though and all is normal again.

Is your device completely up to date?  That sounds like a straight OS bug because that's definitely not a known dolphin issue.
