Hello,
My Question is why need this Emulator so much resources? becouse the Wii only have these specs: Central Processing Unit (CPU)IBM Broadway 729MHzGraphics Processing Unit (GPU)ATI Hollywood 243MHzSupported ResolutionUp to 480pSystem Memory88MBInternet ConnectivityWiFi 802.11 b/g So doenst that mean that a Fresh installed computer only need some more specs to run the OS and some small apps? but not as much as said at the start of this topic? Thank you, Time 06-24-2010, 10:12 AM
Amongst other things, the CPU in the Wii has special commands built in that take extra cycles for a regular computer.

Wii is a dedicated computer for its purpose only. It only has the programming of how to run the game in its BIOS itself. On the other hand, PC is for general use. So, in order to run Wii games, it requires to mimic the programming that Wii utilises and this is done by Dolphin...

Can the first post be updated to show that there's a newer directx runtime than March 2009?

hey guys im kinda new and im having a little bit of performance issues. so im running dolphin on pretty much all low settings on a laptop. i have an integrated ATI Mobility Radeon 4550 graphics card which has OpenGL version 6.14, but dolphin gives me that dumb error that i don't have it or something when i try to load a game. but my specs are Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6 ghz, with that graphics card and 8 gb of memory. please someone explain to me why i get a measly 15 fps in this emulator, i just don't understand.
