OK-- I read the Getting Started with dolphin thread so hopefully that will earn me some brownies Smile

But I have soooooo many Questions and I'm going to try my best to sound prepared even though bros this is very complicated for me, and I'm pretty computer saavy.

First I'll post my PC specs:
AMD64 X2 processor 2.1Ghz (dual core 64 with SSE2 supported 1,2,3 SSE also.)
OS -- Windows XP (Lol its worked best for me for what i do)
3 GB ram
512 MB video card ATI Radeon X1600/1650 (its old but i'm still smashin)
Directx 9.0c (just updated with the link from getting started)
Got C++ 2008 package installed also.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm recently getting into the whole Emulation scene and emulators and all this configuring is big time difficult for me because of all the variables and factors.

I don't have a Wii controller... or Gamecube controller... so I'm basically just at this point trying to get the emulator working so I can play Resident Evil Zero on my computer with my keyboard and mouse as controls. If this works and I can also find more information I will move onto more games.

But just gonna try this old game for now to see if I can get it working in the dolphin. So looking at my specs and goals, what should i download first =/ ( i have a few copies of Dolphin already from various places but I just want to start fresh with a bit of guidance. thanks)

where's the piracy? don't see anything. i don't think you read the whole thing well, because i don't see anything about downloading games here...

are you talking about this? in there he was asking what build he should download look at how the sentence continues with '' i have a few copies of Dolphin already from various places but I just want to start fresh with a bit of guidance''.
But if I haven't spotted the piracy and you have, do point me to it.

Oh Wow, I just got it working I think. I got preconfigured download, so I think it took care of alot of the hard stuff for me. But I just hadn't selected

Dolphin configuration > Plugins > Graphics > Dolphin direct3D9

what is the difference between this setting and the OPENGL / Software Renderer setting?

Also can I use my mouse as kind of a pointer for Wii games?

you don't see it because it was deleted. there was a bit of talk about isos from somewhere.

ok i guess...
@AmienZero Direct3d9 is more optimized than opengl, plus your graphics card doesn't support opengl. you can use the mouse as pointer, yes.
