Hello! I've been getting this issue ever since I decided to try SMG2 on Dolphin Emulator 4.0 yesterday (I know 5.0 is out already for months, but I don't have Windows 7 SP1 yet). At the beginning, I saw black planets, small bushes, Bowser and especially black Toads! I've been really angry since then. With these darker textures, I can't play it since I actually want to see how it feels to play the game back... *sigh* Any help in here? I can show how I've setup the settings. Until then, I hope I can see answers with some help! :)

We don't support anything older than 5.0, you'll have to update your computer then come back if you still have the same problem.

... I don't have time to upgrade the version to SP1. I really need quick help, but since you said ''We don't support anything older than 5.0'', then I can't do anything at the moment (even though you said "come back if you still have the same problem."). The problem I have with getting for Dolphin 5.0 and their development versions to work, it says an error about the api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll plugin (I can't install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 due to system requirements (It needs SP1, which I had when I got my current computer, but I've got through many more issues for the hard disk and I ended up being in non-SP1)). I apologize if I broke a rule or I just made a long reply, like on an essay.

And we just told you. You won't find any help on the forums if you're not running the minimum supported version of Dolphin. I'm sorry if you don't have time to get a supported version running, but we also don't have the resources to support old versions of Dolphin that nobody cares about. Supporting old versions also doesn't really help us identify problems with the latest versions. So, come back when you've updated.

Thanks.

The problem isn't that we don't want to help you, it's that we can't help you at this point. This sort of issue that you're describing reminds me of some texture issues that have been fixed a long time ago, so since they've already been fixed, we cant do much more than tell you to upgrade.

Speaking of upgrading, you said you has to downgrade from windows 7 sp1 to fix something, but is there anything currently preventing you from upgrading now? There are a lot of Windows features added and bugs fixed in SP1, not to mention Visual Studio 2015 support. I at least wouldn't mind trying to help you fix issues so you can get the latest Dolphin build working so you can experience the latest and greatest it has to offer.

Also, can you check your specs? It says you have a 7600 GTX, but that card doesn't exist as far as I can find. There's a 7600 GT or a 760 GTX.

Yeah, the darkened character bug was fixed, there's nothing you can do in the old builds.

There's no point in keeping this open as it's about a fixed bug and you're using unsupported builds. Sorry.
