Getting Chinese Wii ports of Super Mario Galaxy etc. on non-regional Nvidia Shields..

I've turned my Shield into a mega emulation box up to GameCube era (with games functioning so-so at the latter end). It's been a few years since the news of Nintendo's official, fully functional releases of various Wii games on Shield in China.

I'm just wondering if any smart members of the emulator/shield community knew if there were any developments in terms of getting that level of playability from Wii games on non-Chinese Shields... or if the Chinese versions themselves were somehow available (though any means..)..

Or indeed, as I'm not super technical, help me understand why we can't yet play them... maybe we will in future?

If people are taking time to make texture packs presumably they're finding ways to make the games actually playable too??

So yea.. any whispers of if / how / when we might be able to play (for example) Super Mario Galaxy at full speed, with Shield controller optimisation in English... through emulation.. if not any time soon officially...

Or has the Shield community moved on from this possibility in general...
