Getting 360 controller to work right

I am trying to use a 360 controller to play wii. Why can't I map any of the buttons to buttons on the 360 controller? The axis work fine though. Honestly I would prefer to use it as a gamecube controller (I'm playing SSBB), but the plugin mapped all of the buttons for me. This would be OK, if the stupid thing mapped them right. The sticks don't work and neither do some of the buttons.

UPDATE: I used a different plugin and got the GC controller to work. Now I just need to get the wiimote plugin to work so I can play my other wii games.

jeez...all you have to do is use the dolphin x360/kb plugin, enable the xpad, and play.

no mapping


...it's uh....really easy.

Did you even read the comment I posted after getting xpad?

are you joking me? of course I did. I also helped write the x360 pad plugin for dolphin...
