Generic xbox controller main buttons not working

I'm using a ZD-t Xbox controller and it seems that the main buttons aside from the a button are not working.

They are registering on windows, as the controller works in other games on my computer and are registering in the joy.cpl test window

but do not seem to be registering in the dolphin config screen aside from 'Button A'

What is your controller config and what are you trying to play?
