Hi.
Trying to figure out how to configure my super nintendo pad to work for this, it has two analog sticks.
Its basically running on the X360 Drivers.

Ive searched but cant find anything of use, so if someone could please tell me which section in the options i should be configuring it would be awesome as resident evil 4 is in my top 3 games of all time and I really fancy a wii edition play through.
I hope I can use just this pad for resi 4 koz my mosue and keyboard config is on default and it works but feels awkward to play.

Thanks.

So what you should do is this:

On the screen after the screen where it asks you to plug in the Nunchuck, unplug it again (just set the extension to none in Dolphin) and set up the GameCube controller... it should then automatically use the GameCube controller settings for the game, thus making it mappable to a non-motion controller.

According to this at least:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/wii/938877-resident-evil-4-wii-edition/answers/25404-how-do-i-use-a-gamecube-controller

Haven't tried this because I only have the GameCube version.
Check my profile for up to date specs.

It actually worked - thanks a lot man.

The only trouble now is my guy is moving with tank style controls if i hold run, he stalls then turns even with run held in, I had this problem on PC version of resident evil 4 too recently. I have no idea whats causing this. The PC basically sees my controller as an xbox360 pad. Its driving me mad.  Huh

It might help to clear all the controls in the Wiimote, maybe one of the buttons is interfering with the GameCube controller (e.g. the B button of the Emulated Wiimote ("the trigger") set to B on your Xbox controller, but on the Emulated GameCube controller the Z button is connected to your B button on your Xbox Controller)

Its still the same man, leon cant run and turn without stalling first.
I play breath of the wild just fine zero problems with controls but for whatever reason Resi 4 just wont work anymore on my PC not even if its PC version or emulated Wii version.

I attached a picture not sure if it will let me upload - the configuration for the analog  stick does not seem to push all the way to the corners of the sqauare no matter how many times i jimmy it or go slow like it says to do, I got him running left no problem, but if i sway right he stalls again.
I think i might have a faulty gamepad??
it was a cheapish £16.99p snes replica from china..

Jeez, that calibration looks very very bad... You should never be able to reach the corners though (at least on my official wired 360 controller I cant...)

First I want to make sure that you re-center and re-calibrate your sticks:
In Windows: Search in start for "Set up USB game controllers", select the controller, click "Properties" and go to the "Settings"-tab and click "Calibrate..." follow the prompts on screen.
Secondly in Dolphin: Make sure you are on the latest development version of Dolphin. Go to your controller and select the small arrow next to "Calibrate" and select "Center and Calibrate" make a couple of good full circles and select "Finish Calibration", do the same for the other stick.

Try the game again...

If it doesn't work correctly, you could try playing with the Range setting of the axis: Either +20 or -20 per axis per stick. You can find this by right-clicking the button next to the direction (where you actually select the controller button/axis) and then at the top you find Range... you must/can change this for every axis separately.

Try the game again... Pray it will work... otherwise you will have to change the controller, I have an unofficial xbox controller, as an extra controller, as well: the "Speedlink Strike NX" and it is working quite well and only cost me 10 Euro and supports DirectInput as well as Xinput.

Another cheapish but great controller would probably be the Logitech F310 but will set you back around 25 euros

i got some improvement with the "set up usb controllers" setting but still somewhat hindered to play with but if I had to I could do a playthrough of the game right now.

I notice the area im having trouble turning in game (north east) is where the calibration looks suspect too.
I will have a look at the axis settings next - though I have a feeling I bought a low quality control pad here.
bummer.

Ill take a look at the speedlink pad you mentioned also.
