I am just wondering, and sorry for sounding like a noob - i just want to understand this a bit, why do some games run better/faster than others? is it the emulator itself? the games graphics? I really want to play f-zero gx, but 4 stars doesn't cut it for me, ha.

Each game has different code to do different things. Therefore dolphin needs to do different things to emulate them.

Can you play F-Zero GX at consistent 60 FPS? I have very similar computer specs like yours.

"Dual Core Disabled " is default setting for F-Zero GX to prevent crash in game , you can right-click the game and enable that option
