I was aware that the last few hundred revisions had "broken" antialiasing, at least for 4xAA. I happened to have R6498 already, so I simply used that for comparison. Assuming it still had correctly functioning 4xAA as it was before 6505 anyway.
The following are 7390 compared to 6498 at the different EFBs and all at 4xAA.
I won't tell which is from what revision.
1x EFB:
2x EFB:
3x EFB:
Fractional EFB:
I feel it is worth noting that my performance was actually better (2 fps) at 3x EFB and 4xAA using 6498. Personally it seems that 7390 produces better image quality as compared to 6498 or at least equivilent on standard EFB scales.
Fractional does seem to look better on 6498 with 4xAA.
Also I may not have made it clear in my inital post but, I was referring not only to the quality of the lines, but also the quailty of the general image. There is a very noticable improvement to background objects from 1x to 2x, clarity and crispness are improved.
