since my wii menu on the emulator is all filled with homebrew i wanted to homebrew it more by moving the disc channel
i runned gecko os to see if it actually worked
but the rebooter either: say system menu not found or get stuck at "rebooting with hooks"
(i know this is hacking but i really want to do this, this is not about downloading games)

i downgraded system menu to 4.2 but nothing changed
does gecko os have an anti dolphin code like old hbc versions?

I think it might rely on things that Dolphin doesn't emulate in detail. If i remember correctly, it writes some code to an early offset(smaller than 0x80001800) and on a Wii, that code is executed when rebooting into the menu. If i'm right here, Gecko OS running in Dolphin can't hook into any game that uses ES_LAUNCH or an IOS reload, like the games in the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

If you want the same behavior, i'd try to extract the codes Gecko OS applies to the system menu, and add them as codes to Dolphin. Well that is, if you can even get Dolphin to run codes for the system menu. A better way would be to translate the codes from Gecko OS to what they actually do and patch the system menu executable on your emulated nand.
