I have recently downloaded dolphin and have been trying it out with super mario galaxy,

I want to use Gecko codes so I went to properties -> gecko codes, and found nothing,
I pressed "download codes (WiiRD database)" and I get an error message saying "File contained no codes"
I am not using a VPN, and I haven't downloaded anything except dolphin,

any help is greatly appreciated

If the file contains no codes, there are no codes for it to even download in the first place. You'll have to manually add your own codes in that case.

The Gecko code downloading in 5.0 is broken due to changes made to the website it downloads from, and 5.0 also lacks a way to manually add Gecko codes in the GUI. Please update to the latest development version of Dolphin.
