Gecko codes don't work

Hi guys, i'm new on this forum and i have a problem that i hope you can help me to solve. I followed the procedure to add gecko codes on mario sports mix on dolphin, i activated enable cheats but nothing changes. I tried with dolphin 5.0 and it sometimes gave me some errors such as 'invalid write to 0x380000002 etc.' so i tried with dolphin 4.0.2 and these errors have disappeared but any code doesn't run. P.s: the region is correct.
