Issues with this title running too slowly can be addressed by disabled Dual Core mode.

Hey, so I'm trying to run the game on netplay with a friend and it isn't working very well. Menus and single player modes actually run near full speed, albeit we can't manage to make it go any faster past 100%. 2 player modes tend to drop to around 50-70% speed (Varies depending on the stage). Both of use are able to run the game at 300%+ speed offline, so I don't know what the issue is.

When we did an internet speed test, I got 50mbps download, 5mbps upload, and my friend got 9mpbs on both. I'm not quite sure what the internet requirements are, but I think this should be enough, right?

We tried tweaking emulator settings, but to no avail. The game is sensitive to the Dual Core setting, so we tried messing with that a bit, but again, to no avail. I also tried tweaking the pad buffer, but it didn't seem to do much. First time we played, it defaulted to 5. We eventually settled on 6 and made do. Second time, we tried experimenting more with the buffer, but it didn't really do anything, so we just kept it at 12.

We just tested two dev builds. 6177 and 6194. There weren't any particular performance improvements. 6194 actually ran slightly worse than 5.0.

For some reason, the two builds crash profusely for me. They worked fine for my friend, though.

Oh, and just to clarify, on offline we're able to run the game at about 500% on menu screens, 300% on single player modes, and it barely runs at full speed on 2 player modes. Does netplay take much of a toll on performance? So far, it seems like it halves performance, since on 2 player modes, it runs at 100% offline and 50% on netplay.
