Hi. I just tried playing this game, but I can only use DX9, so I don't get ANY video, just a black screen. Audio works fine, though. Is there a workaround so that I get the video as well?

Your system is too weak for Dolphin (CPU and GPU)

My game started to glitch, and now it does not save and load data from different sessions. Meaning, if i save the game, close the game, and some time later reopen it, it acts as if the save never happened. and recently, it started to not only fail to load anything new, it also failed to load anything at all. Any advice?

That's what I'm using, saves worked for a while, and it can create new saves from a starting a new game that it can read, which i just found out about, but it cannot continue the current game.
Also, i don't expect any miracles, but I do appreciate any help or attempts to help that anyone gives. 10-07-2016, 07:47 PM
Hope this doesn't count as a necro given it was linked to in the read before post thread. Also I hope this doesn't go in the bug thread given it has to do with this game.
Anyways moving to the issue. I am using Dolphin 5.0 which isn't listed on the wiki for this game. I'm far from an expert, but the game seems to run just fine outside of two issues I seem to keep having. One is that all battle sound effects seem to just stop working after some time and won't come back without an emulator restart. If you use a save state it seems to save the glitched audio as well. So when you load the state it just loads the glitched audio. The other issue is that in game saves seem to break and no matter how far you get in yugi's campaign it won't save past the turbulent waters mission. What i mean is that its not refusing to save, but that it seems to lose the save. It acts like its creating a new save after every mission but no matter the mission after it just creates a save at turbulent waters even if you're on a later mission. Somehow the game saves you on that early mission. Possibly unrelated is that when using a save state when saving and reloading it shows after the file location "State not found" but still saves and loads fine. This is separate from the fact that it saves the settings to where you can't change them and reload the state making testing settings and quick loading into an active game kinda hard to do. My system settings should be there as I had to put them in to register. I hope someone can help fix this issue as I'd like to play with working audio and while save states are nice I like using in-game ones so its more authentic. Thanks in advance. 05-13-2017, 03:08 PM

Sounds like a problem with this game from what I can tell, you just need to keep trying.

If you have a consistent crash in the game, please upload the GCI save file so I can load it on console and see if the same actions cause a crash.
