So it seems that the last working revision was 6562 for this game according to the Wiki game page, 6563 and up makes the game freeze just as I experience, but I don't know if it's just me because it only happens if I let go of the controls, I actually managed to play 10 minutes earlier this day.

Hmm looking at the Google code page browsing between 6562 and 6563 didn't make me any wiser.

Only hope is that it's magically fixed til 3.0, otherwise 2.0 will do just fine for this game.

Aw for a second I thought the JITIL experimental recompiler fixed the freezing issue but it seems that it only freezes less frequently rather then the regular JIT recompiler that freezes more often.
For a moment I had the biggest smile on my face but after playing 20 minutes now I realized that I had to change the post and the testing info I did on the games Wiki page since sadly it actually freezes even with the JITIL experimental recompiler.
So close but yet so far away.

But one thing is really a mystery to me why it only freeze if I let go of the controls.
I need to test some more.

OK I got an update regarding this "freeze bug" so bear with me.

Does anyone remember when you play certain levels and accidentally fall down a cliff/hole etc. and came to a room with flying ghosts that chased you and water that hurt you loosing coins and you had to break boxes to find the spring enable to escape?

Well that's what the white/black screen freeze with only hearts showing is if you don't play a level that have this room with the described info above.
So for example if you walk around in the courtyard where the level select is, let go of the controls wait a couple of seconds it becomes a white/black freeze with the music from the room with the ghosts, you can pause the game as usual however since it's not an emu freeze or something like that.

I don't know why this get's triggered and I think it's really odd and I only came to this conclusion playing a level earlier that had this scenario falling down a cliff and coming to that room because I let go of the controls.
I was like "What the hell happened I didn't even fall down a cliff and got transferred here?"

I will continue to play with this and see what more I can find out.

EDIT: This is just a theory anyway, haven't found anything new.
Anyhow the level I tried was Thrillsville - Shivering Mountain.

I only play this for a few weeks. It's really intersting. However, I always need my friend to help me. Hope I can accomplished all missions soon.
