He's the good, the bad and the ugly all rolled into one, and now he's 3D. Wario, Mario's jealous rival, plays the hero -- well, kind of -- in his first console adventure. In the depths of Wario's castle lies the plunder of his many adventures on the Game Boy, Game Boy Advance and elsewhere. While Wario kicks back in his crib, enjoying the videogame equivalent of bling-bling, a mysterious black jewel in his trove transforms gems into monsters. His wealth, which was once a source of pride, becomes his greatest foe. Now, Wario must scramble to recover his riches. Developed by Treasure, the game takes the form of a fixed-perspective 3D brawler/platform game, with combo-based attacks and lots of creatures to beat up.

Emulation Status & Speed

• Issues:
  
• Audio is very spotty. All gameplay elements work fine, but the music and other scripted things often don't play at all.
  
• Some shadows with travel onto surfaces they don't belong, especially with the blocks so you can't see the surfaces on some of them, which is kind of important.
  
• Using the D3D Plugin may help in fixing some issues but it seems to bring up now ones as well.
  
  Emulation Speed
  
• It runs pretty well, even on slow systems.
  

Additional Information
Wario World seems to be causing some problems but is partially playable after all.

I've got some troubles with Skate It: game is playable but you need to do one trick to make it playable

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere yet but just to let you know that with rev5009 Warioworld is very playable. No more need to turn dynarec on and off and we can access all trap doors (though I am quite far from the finish).

FPS is around 30 and VPS around 50.

Some shadow and texture issues. Also Wario's nose and left eyes are sort of stretching to the corner of the screen. Quite bizarre but still highly enjoyable.

I assume so but as I only tried recently and did not find any message on this on this thread, thought it would be nice to leave a trace here.

BTW any hindsight on whether it's possible toggling with the config to fix the nose issue ?

I just played it and didn't come across any nose issue. I used mostly defaults with DX9, build 5025 x64.

Issues I did have:

• Audio is very spotty. All gameplay elements work fine, but the music and other scripted things often don't play at all.
  
• Some shadows with travel onto surfaces they don't belong, especially with the blocks so you can't see the surfaces on some of them, which is kind of important.
  
• OpenGL looked like crap. The colors would be off and dark/muddy, but sometimes normal.
  
• Auto framerate went to 30, which is too slow. Manually setting the rate worked, but the real number was half of what I set (eg: 100 meant 50fps). This didn't always stick, particularly in the area where you fell and have to spring back into the map; it would suddenly go super fast, possibly using the number that was supposed to be the fps set in config.
  

Game can finish, but I did have it freeze during a black screen after beating the boss. I switched to JITIL just in case and it completed fine.

JITIL seems to work, except when standing still. Wario would teleport an infinite distance if I didn't press anything for short while. The game doesn't let you die when you fall out of level, but it does fuck you up and the teleport would end up bringing me to the start of the level.
