I seem to be the only one having an issue with this game, but do people get choppy voices when they play on Dolphin 4.0.2? I can only get about 75% FPS (??) when playing a family. The music seems to do fine though, no matter what the percentage value is at.
However, when I try this on Dolphin 3.5, sims noises are better (sighing), although voices don't seem to play. Can anyone offer any help on this?
The reason 4.0 plays the voices at all is due to DSP HLE being rewritten. The side effect is that games require full speed for audio to be full speed; that's just accurate emulation. If you want sounds to play full speed, emulate the game full speed; that's your only option.
As for the music, DTK audio is still unsynchronized to game speed. It's actually a bug for the music to be playing full speed if the rest of the audio and game is not. I do not know if that is the case for this game; it's not on any lists that I can find. 04-13-2014, 10:59 PM

To emulate the game full speed like you say, is there a specific setting I need to change, or is my computer just too slow to run this game? It's actually kind of nice that the music does keep playing. ![]() 04-17-2014, 11:07 PM

On a 2.0GHz Core i7 processor? That seems kind of strange... Well, I'm hopeful that future versions of Dolphin may be able to support some sort of feature that scales the audio to the framerate ![]() 04-18-2014, 10:14 AM
A lot of multiplatform games, especially by EA and such, tend to run really poorly on Dolphin.

Ah, shoot... That's too bad, the game its self was pretty fun as I remember playing it on the game cube. |
