Does anyone know, if there's still the bug crashing the game after you rescue some Rohirrim guy at about 27% completion?
Thanks! bastronaut 01-03-2013, 10:55 PM

I'll try to remember: You can play the game perfectly until some point in the game, where you have the task to rescue a certain Rohirrim-Warrior in Rohan (quest's name is "Save the Rohan Soldier"). You fight through some waves of enemies - still everything works fine - then a cutscene starts to play and the game crashes (just before you were prompted to insert game disc 2 on the Gamecube).(01-03-2013, 09:36 PM)bastronaut Wrote: Does anyone know, if there's still the bug crashing the game after you rescue some Rohirrim guy at about 27% completion? Edit: The game did NOT hang as describes in the wiki - it crashed! As far as I remember there were quite a few people with that problem. Then if you switch to disc 2 the game goes on

Hi folks,
I'm trying to play this game on 3.5 and it freezes and subsequently crashes during the very first cutscene, when we're first introduced to the man on the horse. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the game or dolphin, but I just wanted to see if anyone had found and resolved this. Thanks. 01-11-2013, 04:08 PM
Did u try the latest git version of Dolphin? Did u try to redump your game? What are your Dolphin settings?

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what the git version is (I assume that's the development versions?), but no, I'm using a vanilla 3.5. Nor do I know what redumping is (this humble noob guesses re-creating the iso, which I tried and didn't help).
As far as my settings go, the only options I have checked in the graphics configuration are texture efb copy, disable external frame buffer, disable fog, and disable per-pixel depth under the hacks category. Dual core and idle skipping are on, the game requires mmu speedhack so that's on, and jit recompiler is checked. 01-11-2013, 09:57 PM

What i5 processor is it exactly? Alternatively you could try "new AX-HLE" builds (it's been merged to recent builds). They might solve the issue too. I haven't tried with this game yet so I can't confirm this
