Wiki was wrong, it suggested enabling MMU speedhack, which does nothing without MMU enabled as well, but ZTP needs Enable MMU to pass the howl statues, the speedhack causes crashes.

Hey guys. I am new to this, so I'll start by saying I got Dolphin and Zelda Twilight Princess. And I'm having an issue playing this game, I mean it works well, but when I walk it's slow and the cut scenes the character walks so slow I don't know why.
Here are the specs: Ram : 8gb DDR3 Graphic card : Nvidia 310m Geforce Intel Core 5 It's a really new laptop with really fast performance I played other games on it and they worked perfect. So can you guys help me out here? It'll be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 04-15-2011, 03:15 PM
Have you ticked the ZTP Speedhack, I think it's mainly for Hyrule Field but it's worth a shot.
BTW which settings and revision do you use? And I'm using 64bit Dolphin emulator, due to me having a 64bit Win7. 04-15-2011, 03:50 PM

Well I see some changes you can do.
Untick cheats Set Framelimit to 60 and under Audio untick Audio Throttle and use DSP HLE Switch to Direct3D 9 for better speed. Turn off Accurate Texture Cache, not needed for this game, only bogs it down. That would make it somewhat more faster. And don't forget the ZTP Speedhack under game properties. 04-15-2011, 04:03 PM

It's not at perfect speed or whatever like the ones on youtube videos that I see. But it's decent. I was wondering if you do not mind sharing with me your specs/ And settings for your Dolphin emulator. Thanks. 04-15-2011, 04:08 PM

Haha no problem, glad it works better for you now
Setting up Dolphin can be quite tricky, I usually just use the settings that is required to play the game properly skipping most of the bling bling options, the games already looks better on Dolphin today then it ever did on the GC anyway. Anyway, I recently did a CPU upgrade in one of my rigs to a I7 2600K, and I have OC'ed it to 4.4GHz so I can't complain. I'm playing around with it and for the most part this game works beautifully in the newer revisions but it's sure looking good. 04-15-2011, 04:51 PM

I wonder if Dolphin will update their emulator even more, and figure out perfect settings for each roms! >_< Who knows but them. But your are totally right! The settings for Dolphin is hella tricky, but I'm sure if you mess around just right you might be able to fix the gaming experience ^.~ |
