No, you do not need to patch anything to have the grass. However if you want a speedup in Hyrule Field, you need to download a build with this patch applied or apply the patch and compile a build yourself.

Its what im saying... xD Could you compile r5462 with the hyrule field patch xtreme ? I see now that you have done it already!! Thanks for the good work 05-28-2010, 06:47 PM
Yo Xtreme. I used your SVN 5461 with the hyrule patch and it seems a LOT slower like I posted earlier.
I wasn't using the widescreen hack though I was forcing a 16:9 ration but that doesn't really mess up the speed, just the graphics. All this and EFB to texture like I always do. I'm going to try SVN 5475 and see how it works.

I get about a 10 - 15 FPS increase with my Core2duo E8500, Geforce 9800 GT, 4 GB of ram. The slowest part of Hyrule Field was 12 FPS on my PC and is now running at 22 - 25 FPS, I had it running at 30 FPS on an earlier revision. You are also using a laptop with a low-end integrated Nvidia solution, it's no wonder you don't see any speedup. Your slowdown is probably caused by something else, it is definitely not this patch that is causing it. Just consider yourself lucky that you can even get any kind of decent speed with that laptop. 05-28-2010, 10:18 PM

Dude, don't insult my laptop like that. (Are its parts really that bad?)
I admit it's processor is really slow, but the graphics card isn't that bad is it? I was able to play Wind Waker at a solid 30 FPS for nearly the whole game. I've played hours and hours of Super Smash Brothers Melee. Wouldn't the patch at least increase the speed by a bit, not increase? I'm just surprised that my FPS is nearly halved when I use your SVN. I'm not blaming it on your codes, I'm just saying something's fishy is all. Thanks JaPeL for the help, I'll go fix my signature sooon Edit (off topic): @JePel: I tried to fix my signature, but it said that I have too many characters, but 42 too many which is odd.
