Is there any way to get rid of the horrendous bloom effects? In Twilight everything is glowing. I tried the code by "ralf" in the game properties but it doesn't do anything. Is there something I am doing wrong?

I realized I didn't have enable cheats turned on in the config, but that didn't help either. This game runs great on my Intel 520 Integrated Graphics. They have come a long way. Full speed even in the goron mines and hyrule field at 2x Native. Runs better than on my 2 year old Nvidia card. 01-01-2016, 08:48 AM

About the Sun Rays.
Would it be possible to render those at native and just upscale those and then add them later if game is run on non-native? Probably not possible but just throwing out a thought. EDIT: Also about the AR 16:9 Patch, is it possible to do a 16:10 one? I would gladly try myself, but i don't know what the code means, i tried playing with it and affected the Ratio, but have no clue about how;P 02-05-2016, 03:32 PM
Hi. I just recently started playing Twilight Princess [GC] on my Asus Zenbook UX301.
Intel Iris 5100 Intel i7 4558U @ 2.8 GHz 8 GB RAM Dolphin 4.0.2 From the prologue all the way through the Forest Temple I had smooth performance with very minor slowdowns. It wasn't until I reached the Hyrule Fields that I began to suffer constant slowdowns. Now, whenever I load the game up, it doesn't seem to matter where I am. It will run at 30FPS for the first few minutes and then it will slow down to around 15FPS without reason. I've attempted tweaking all settings and I'm not sure if there is perhaps a newer dev version of Dolphin that would lead to better performance or if I'm missing something else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. EDIT: I was able to bolster my FPS to be somewhat more stable by switching from DX9 to DX11. The game is smooth enough to be playable, but I'm curious if there are any other tweaks I can do to further boost my FPS. Thanks. 02-05-2016, 08:05 PM
If you download the latest dev build from https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ and then enable the Hyrule Field Speed Hack in the game's properties, you should get better performance.

Thanks a lot. I just downloaded it. I'll see if that helps. EDIT: I just tested the latest version of Dolphin with Twilight Princess. All slowdowns are entirely gone. The Hyrule Field Speed Hack seems to have resolved everything. I'm getting a perfect 30fps now with no dip in frames. Thank you very much for the assistance. 02-06-2016, 08:54 AM
Hey all,
So I finally took the time to make an account on here because I have been unable to find anything like my problem online. So I recently got the itch to play twilight princess, and have run emulators on my PC before. I already had dolphin on here, and actually remembered having this problem awhile ago and giving up. Anyways, here's the issue. Every time I start up the Twilight princess game, it comes up with the initial health and safety screen, and 'press any button to continue'. After clicking through, the game flashes the Nintendo screen for a few seconds, followed by the Dolby screen. Ok, it seems, the game has been loaded up. As soon as the Dolby screen fades, nothing happens. after a few seconds, the FPS drops to 40ish, 15ish, then 0, and the only thing to do is close the emulation. I have tried 4-5 different ISO downloads, as well as 3 different Dolphin builds (4.0.2, 4.0.0, and a dev build that was first on the list when i checked the site today). Every time the problem is exactly the same. First three screens load up, then the game freezes and the emulation has to be stopped. I have tried various configs, windowed mode, low strain settings. Nothing works, and it' s driving me nuts because I can't find anything online. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks 02-06-2016, 01:09 PM

Hey SO I'm new here but have been using the software for a while now. SO just a question? when I try to perform a back slice, link just slides uncontroalby to the direction that I'm going and I can't change unless I fall off an edge or are attacked by a monster. ANd because Of this I can't pass the back slice test with Hero's Shadow(the skull thing.)
ANyway Thanks |
