Yeah, hold off on doing any work in this area for the moment. The video plugin merge has caused some instability in this area. It should be resolved soon though.

If they do something about that, then the whole thing would be much easier and I'd probably consider working on textures a bit more. Also, I've noticed that textures change names depending on which level of "Safe Texture Cache" is enabled... the texture pack would be massive with the way Wind Waker works at the moment.

Apparently, the textures use checksums in order to create the textures name, the thing that makes this whole duplicate file thing weird is that I've checked the duplicates with a diff tool, and all of the files are completely identical, so the checksum should be the same.

Ok Benito, Uhyve, Skid I have an update, and I apologize if this is already documented Confused

Using 6298, 6314, and 6316 am able to load high rez textures now, BUT, if I try to either save state, or load a saved state, the textures revert back to their originals. I can replicate this in all three builds now. Does this happen with you guys also?

The game runs great on my Macbook Pro 13", Win7 and R6373.

I've just started, but already noted the "Fix Item Hang". Is this necessary for good gameplay experience, or is it a cheat?

When I enable the option, the game won't play any music, only sound effects.

Yes. Also happens when you enter/exit full screen or change the resolution.

I'm having problems with the cutscene when you meet up with your sister the second time and the pirates take her. After the bird comes down and the cutscene ends, the screen goes black, my fps goes to the highest and the screen just sits their black. I've tried a couple methods to fix cutscenes but they don't seem to work. If anyone could help me I would love it, Thanks.

Game works mostly fine, I fixed the blur problem by upping the resolution... but this slows down the game in some parts a lot (others not at all, weird.) I think it's the fog. Turning it off don't help, the fog effect is still there. I've got an i7 quad core and I'm not sure it's even using all 4 cores. The hacks option is missing in the latest builds.. why?

UPDATE: Game crashed entering the first major town (not the one you start in) - went to blank screen. I gave up on the latest SVN, and 2.0 with the TP Bloom Hack (OpenGL Plugin), lowering the AA corrects the speed issues. On the latest SVN, I couldn't seem to adjust AF/AA at all.

MY REMAINING ISSUE: I have tried everything, different versions, all sorts of settings, and I can't fix this problem where the smoke from lanterns and other stuff causes a screwy effect where the image gets duplicated in the smoke. I am afraid for Dragon Roost.

Great, ANOTHER ISSUE: Taking a pictograph freezes the game. Graphics settings don't seem to have an effect on this. It goes click-click-click-click for a long time then when the picture finally displays it crashes, happens in both latest SVN & 2.0.

I have an NVidia Geforce GT 230M. It's a good graphics card. Note I do have EFB To System RAM (real) enabled.

That's an OK video card. Not sufficient for high resolutions such as 1920 x 1080 with 4xSSAA, 3x internal resolution, and per-pixel lighting.

Quote:I think it's the fog. Turning it off don't help, the fog effect is still there.

If the fog is not rendered as a particle then it will have no effect. Some games use other methods for fog.

Quote:but this slows down the game in some parts a lot (others not at all, weird.)

Depends on how many efb renders need to be completed to properly recreate all of the efb effects in that area.

Quote:got an i7 quad core and I'm not sure it's even using all 4 cores.

Dolphin is a dual threaded application, it will only use 2 cores.

What hacks option? You mean projection hacks? What plugin?

What revision?

What settings?

Forget about the speed, I got it working well enough as I said by lowering AA in 2.0, that seemed to do the trick.

I was speaking of the graphics hacks (i.e. Zelda TP Bloom Hack.) It's not in the latest SVN. 2.0 Seems to do fine anyway.

The pictograph thing was semi-fixed by using the 32-bit version. It still goes into a loop of some kind going click-click-click for a while when taking the pictograph and takes forever, but works and doesn't crash. Oh, and this was in 2.0 and SVN as well and didn't respond to any settings changes, both core and graphics.

The major outstanding problem: The smoke thing is in 2.0 and latest SVN and does not respond to any graphical settings I have tried changing, all I could think of, in both builds.
