Yes that is a much better comparison, very noticeable. But unfortunately you will almost never have a close up like that in the game.

The game looks so nice in HD, that yes you will notice these updates. Very much appreciated man - I'm looking forward to the updated texture pack. Crisp fonts and menu's are also going to be nice.

I'm playing WW right now on my 50" plasma - and the game looks amazing. But you can see some pixelation/fuzziness in and around Link's face area, so the new textures will be great.

Make sure you use efb to ram with cpu -> efb access off to get rid of the depth of field effect without compromising other efb effects if you want a clear picture.

And I agree about fonts and icons. That would be extremely notcable compared to character textures.

V2 Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?2bhgqfanva3kfk4

Instructions:

-Unrar and place the GZLE01 folder inside Dolphin/User/Load/Textures
-In Dolphin, make sure hi-res texture loading is enabled in whichever video plug-in you use.

Tested to work in Rev. 6257. There are three textures with inconsistent names. For these, I tried duplicating them to cover most of the names they were given. These textures are the B-button while in the save menu, Link's pupil, and the first person icon (the one with the eye). If one or more of them don't load, try resetting the game.

What's in the pack:

-All hud textures from previous pack
-Text from previous pack
-All of Link's face textures (minus two mouths)
-Link's ears and belt buckle
-Lens flare effect while looking at the sun
-Water particle effect (which can be seen while running in shallow water)
-Water ripples (which can be seen while standing or swimming in water)
-D-pad icon
-Stamina indicator (swirling bubble while swimming in deep water)
-Hud textures while conducting with the Wind Waker
-"Zoom 1" and "Zoom 2" action commands while looking at the sea chart.
-A few miscellaneous hud textures

And with that, I'm done. If anyone wants to build off of this, feel free.

This game works perfect for me, the only problem I get is that in the Earth Temple, I can't leave the room after I get the mirror shield because I'm using a keyboard and can't get to the angle it wants.

The game is running awesome, I get 29-30fps most of the time unless there is a lot going on, in which case I may drop down to around 25(still definitely playable), but I am having an issue with the sound during cutscenes. The music and sounds will play, but they seem like the sound isn't synchronized with what is going on during the cutscene and then part way through the cutscene, the music/sound will just cut out and loop the last 1 second or so of the previous music/sound until the cutscene is over. A bit annoying, but is there any way to fix this or is this a known issue you just have to put up with?

A known issue that you have to put up with.

A patch which solved this went out a while ago, but seems no longer compatible with new revisions.

Don't know if it's just an impression, but if you put the framelimit to off and use only the "Enable Audio Throttle" to limit the frame-rate, the audio seems (at least to me) slightly better...

I started playing this game, it works fine except for some small problems:
The first one is the audio problem in cutscenes mentioned by BlakeX037, but it's not that bad.
The second one is that in some parts the game runs choppy, it happened only one time for now. The exact place is the forest on Outcast Island, when I went to rescue Tetra the FPS decreased. To be precise, it only happened in the end of the forest, where you find Tetra. I noticed that there was some dust flying around, could it be the cause?
Another thing, sometimes (like when entering the forest) on the top left part of the screen I get a "Cleared cache code" message, what does it mean?
I'm using mamario's r6266, WW PAL version. I play in fullscreen (1680x1050) with the DX9 plugin. No AA, this game doesn't need it! Big Grin
