alright, first off here are my relevant PC specs:
AMD Phenom x2 550 (3.11GHz)
4GB ddr3 ram
onboard (shouldn't be the problem for this, i think) ATI Radeon HD 4200 with supposedly 768mb RAM

i'm running PAL of ZWW in Dolphin 2.0 on XP pro SP3 x86

my problem is i'm one of those poor fellows who seemingly may not use the picto-box.
i get the best experience with the openGL plugin, resolution set to native, 1x anisotropic filtering and no AA.

experience with openGL plugin:
when i have EFB set to RAM using the picto box leads to a soundloop and the game getting stuck.
EFB to GL results in the very same thing, after disabling EFB copy completely i encounter some weird graphics behaviour AND the picto box problem.

experience with D3D plugin (CPU->EFB and EFB scaled copy enabled):
EFB to RAM -> soundloop for like 3 seconds on use of the box but i can take pictures with it (gives me graphics issues (e.g. ladders, eyes of characters and carpets not being visible at all from distance and behaving quite weird til i'm right in front of them)
EFB to texture -> little soundloop, but when taking the actual picture (blends shut) the game freezes completely (aforementioned graphics behave somewhat differently (i think) but still weird)
EFB copy disabled -> same camera/graphics behaviour as with EFB->texture PLUS seemingly sporadic FPS drops

example of mentioned graphics issues:

so is there either way to fix one of the good working settings? (meaning, either fixing the picto box on openGL OR fixing the graphics issues on D3D)
oh and btw - i'm encountering known crash issues when using save states, too. is there any way to fix this yet? (read something about this only happening on 32 bit machines - is that true?)

help would really be appreciated!
regards

Not sure if it only happens only on 32 bit os but you should not be using save states, PERIOD. They cause lots of problems with lots of games, including this one. Use regular saves instead. Your supposed to use efb to ram to get the pictobox working in most builds and D3D is highly recommended over opengl in this game for a variety of reasons. What doesn't make sense to me is these "graphical issues" your having. Never seen that before or heard of anyone experiencing this. Keep playing around with settings and tell me if turning off CPU-EFB makes any difference.

alright, didn't know about the general save state problem^^

disabling CPU->EFB was exactly the right thing, as far as i can say right now everything is rendered perfectly AND there is no soundloop/delay anymore when using the picto box Big Grin

thanks a bunch!

Eh I've completed many games using save states on dolphin, just don't use it as your main save, remember to regularly save and load using in game option and you'll be fine, really.

I got this game up and running great, except for a problem with sound. In cutscenes, such as the opening story scene or when the great bird and pirates come to Outset, the sound will skip ahead and get out of sync; when the sound file reaches the end it just repeats the last second until the cutscene ends. Any idea how to fix this? I'm using DSP-HLE with all DSP settings checked and DSound.

Hello there! I'm currently running Dolphin SVN R 4771. I can run Wind Waker perfectly right now, but the problem is I can't start the game. When ever I press Start it goes to a message that says "The Memory Card in Slot A is corrupted and needs to be formatted" and I choose Yes. But then another message pops up and says "The Memory Card in Slot A cannot be used with this game". Another message pops up and says "The game cannot be saved. Would you like to continue anyways" I choose yes and the whole process repeats. Someone help?

I've been having alot of issues just getting past the prologue. Once I get past what I'm sure is the final screen (the one telling how certain islanders garb children in green) it fades to black and it just hangs there. I'd love it if someone could give me some help as how to get past the prologue so I can actually play the game.

**EDIT** By the way, I'm playing the PAL version.

Same problem here.
