Hey! I found the setting that was messing up the pictograph! It was using the Bleach Versus Crusade hack!

(You need that hack if you want to play without the depth-of-field effect that makes everything a few feet away from link all blurry.)

But if you disable Bleach Versus Crusade, disable Anti-Aliasing, and set EFB copy to RAM, the Pictograph works! Testing with Dolphin 2.0 RC1, it works in either D3D or OpenGL.

Also, you can turn off the Bleach Versus Crusade and Anti-Aliasing on the fly whenever you want to use the pictograph, and then when you're done turn them back on for beautiful graphics again. Yay! Dolphin wins again!

Hello Everyone! I'm new here. I done Zelda Wind Waker few years ago on original GameCube system Smile. Actually I don't have an GC system but i wanna try to emulate Zelda: Wind Waker on ma PC (laptop). I know, laptop is not good for gaming but my spec is: T6500, Ati HD4650 and 3GB's of Ram.

Wind Waker on ma machine is emulated quiet well, but i have a little problem witch music. In cut-scenes is too fast and when it's playing it "scratch".
My question is: is there any chance to solve problem with music? What is the best revision of Dolphin to emulate Zelda:Wind Waker and what is the best settings to get maximum performance and quality?

I'll be very grateful for help.

P.S - Sorry for my english.

Quong: Your laptop has very adequate hardware for playing the game, and according to you, the game is emulated well.

To fix sound problem, click on DSP options and enable 'audio throttle'. Also, put framelimit in config to either off, auto or 60/90/120 (whichever causes stablest gameplay for you). I believe you don't need to change revision (unless you are using pre-4900 which is not recommended anymore)

Thx for quick answer Wink
I have two versions of Dolphin - DolphinWX r5162 and official RC 2.0 but i don't see the differences between them.

Even that might not be necessary. I'm about 90% finished playing though Wind Waker using r4661. I've had a glitch or two, but the vast majority of the game has run perfectly, with good speed.

(And in high-resolution widescreen (and using Bleach vs Crusade to turn off the blurry FOV effect in the distance), it looks oh so much better than the console version (and so much less irritating when you can quicksave before some of the tricky jumps and leaf glides).)

Wind Waker is crashing right after the first talk with the kind of red lions (right after the forsaken fortress). Right when it is supposed to transition between the end of the conversation and setting foot on the island to go pick up the sale it crashes. I looked over the first post and it doesn't say anything about special settings needed to avoid crashes. I'm using v2.0 RC1 btw. I have also encountered two other problems so far, my screen flickers when I cut down trees (not really a big issue, doesn't need to be resolved) and audio skips randomly during cutscenes and cinematics. And before you say it, yes I did try turning audio throttle on/off, and openAL, and changing the framelimiter between off/auto/60, and the RE0 audio hack. None of those worked.

Yet another game that is listed as "perfectly emulated" despite being nowhere near it. Don't take this the wrong way since I think it is nothing short of amazing that these games work at all let alone run at a high framerate and have few bugs. But perfectly emulated means PERFECTLY emulated, not 99% perfectly emulated with only a few bugs that don't stand in the way of you completing the game. So far I have tried 4 game on the perfectly emulated list and none of them are truly perfectly emulated, although they are all mostly perfect. Metroid Prime has only 2 major bugs that I noticed, but the fact that twilight princess is on that list (although I think it was recently removed) just makes me laugh since it has at least 4 MAJOR bugs that I noticed, yet no one talks about them in the game threads since they are all so concerned about framerate issues.

That's funny because the game runs near flawlessly for me except the small graphic glitch in Dragon Roost cavern and some very minor sound oddities that are barely noticeable.

That's because they are basically the same version. That is just about when they turned a numbered version (R5162 <--> RC1) into the RC1.
