Hey guys.

The game is working really well on my PC, I get full-speed everywhere and no graphical glitches. I'm up to Dragon Roost and I haven't even had a crash yet!

But my problem is the sound. Up until now, sound has been working perfectly - on Outset, in houses, on the pirate ship, at the Forsaken Fortress, etc. But when I went into the room before Dragon Roost Cavern where you have to throw Medli up to the ledge, the sound went weird and completely cut out. The only thing that played was the "rumble" sound when the volcano shakes, and the sound effects made by Link/Medli. The "whooshing" sound of the turbulent air didn't play at all.

And now I've stepped into the first room of Dragon Roost, and the background music only kind of works. The backing track - that sounds like some small drums being tapped - plays consistently, but the ambient music plays for only a few seconds, then cuts out for a few seconds, then comes back in for a few seconds, etc.

Is this a known issue? I'm using the latest 64-bit build. Is there a fix?

If I haven't expalined clearly enough I could try posting a video.

These sound issues started appearing when the AFC looping hack of revision 4111 was committed. I would of thought these sound oddities would of been fixed by now, it's going on a couple weeks since the information from reverse engineering and fixes were committed to the svn as a text file and still nothing to show from it yet.

These sound oddities have been known for a little over a month now, I patiently await and keep checking the svn to see if a fix has been committed for this, nothing as of yet. Sad

Nope, I use ingame-saves...
I did use save states afterwards to get there faster, however, that had the unpractical effect that after loading the save state the clock immediately went to 0 ^^

Yes.. However there isn't a need since I provided a build of the DSP plugin with this change reverted. I will include it again with my next unofficial build. Only downside is there won't be the intro music and some music notes/sound effects will be missing again, the plus side is sound or music won't cut out in Twilight Princess and most if not all the sound issues in Windwaker will be gone.

BOOMSHAKALAKA! I gotz zee SOUND to WORK!

using windows 7, creative x-fi, used creative's alchemy program so it works with older sound codecs or whatver and enabled Dolphin in it...

as for the settings i used Dolphin NO IL (IL kept crashing), Directsound, default settings.

smooth framerates on my E6400 Duo, OC'ed on default cooling to 3ghz, 2 gig ram, 9800 gtx and the x-fi i mention.

I'm only in the beginning but I've had it running in the background for 1/2 hour.

O, and its NTSC.

-Takes a Bow- So do I get Koopa Koins for this? (just watch Super Mario Bro's, everyone was paid in Koopa Koins. I'm quite proud as this is my first post and I've gotten all this running just today. Hopefully we can ALL enjoy sound in this game.

I am in the game by the god tower (after collecting 3 balls) and now I have a big problem.
When I wanna go upstairs the platforms dont move after activating the 3 buttons.

Can someone fix this?
I cant go on without Sad

Use the cheat and check "mega jump".
I had the same problem.
But now i have another....
In the temple with melody. I save the game and when i start the game, the girls isn't there ! I can't go ahaed without her !

Does anyone else experience a problem in the wind temple with makar? If he says anything, like about how he can plant the seeds in the soft soil or about how I can use the hookshot on the trees, it keeps looping that speech. I can't get through the dungeon because it either keeps me there or I can't get through to the next room because I need to take him with me but if I go near him it makes him suggest using the hookshot or planting seeds.
