So I just wanted to verify the performance I'm getting with Zelda:WW is the type I should be gettin' with my specs.

CPU: QX9750 @3.Ghz
MOBO: EVGA 750FTW
RAM: 8GB
GPU: GTX 280 1 GB

And I'm currently using r4301, I think? Anyways, I was always under impression that OpenGL was the only display plugin that Dolphin had, but from reading I have been seeing that a few people are using D9? Anyways, back on topic. In-game I'm getting around 17-25 FPS depending on where I am, and I'm running it at 1680 x 1050 D3D res. I've check the in-game settings when you Right Click, and they all are filled in with that blue square, is that they way they should be? Or should they physically have a check inside the box? Really I was just curious if this is the type of performance I should be expecting because I get even better FPS in Metroid Prime, which I was under the impression was more graphically intense?

Yea, I'm trying to figure out how well mine should run too. I'm on the following.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.7GHz

GFX: NVIDIA 8800 GTS 320MB

RAM: 2GB @ 450MHZ

PSU: 850w

---------------

In Large areas. (Inside buildings work fine)

With OpenGL for graphics I get 12 - 15 FPS.

With DirectX, I get 15 - 21.7 FPS.

I've been using the latest SVN builds (updated daily) from orleans with the watchdog patch. Using the OpenGL plugin, watchdog seems to have 0 effect on FPS, while with the DirectX plugin it seems to get a nice boost from some settings.

I tried messing with the different Game options a bit to no avail. I've seen videos on youtube with the game running decently with similar systems, but they may have been using an older version of Dolphin. Is their an older build that works better with Wind Waker (without sound is fine)? So, anyone with some info?

Sometimes i have a problem if i dont limit my FPS the video will go really fast but the sound will go normal speed and it just makes it stay a black screen, So i Just Limit my FPS and it works.
So Try Turning on Enable other audio or limit your FPS

Well since no one is responding to thisyet, I figured I'll bump it, along with a new question.

A lot of videos on youtube that are running at nearly full speed (25 - 27FPS) in outside areas are using x64 builds.. Does the x64 build have a better speed or something due to having a larger dataspace (or w/e you call it) to work with?

Sounds like something is up with your system. Let me check my amd system fps.

EDIT:: I underclocked my amd machine to 2.4ghz,6 gigs ddr2, geforce 8600 gt and get higher then your system clocked @ 2.7 with a 8800.
Both in 32 dolphin and 64, I average 26-27.9 fps (city on the windmill)
Core2Duo x6800
6gig DDR2
Geforce 260
Audigy 2 zs

Well, I'm on Windows 7 (x86) RTM, but with comparable performance compaired to XP I doubt it is a factor, though I could always split my C Drive and test that out. On the other hand, with OpenGL Plugin on 4311+ I only get 8 FPs with and without the XFB checked (game and plugin). I tried changing EFB settings as well, but all resulted the same.. This is cut in half if I disable dual core. So I'm not sure whats going on there.

With the DirectX Plugin Enabling dual core only gives me a 5 FPS increase (thus the 21.7 mentioned above). I know on XP their is the dual core optimizer from AMD, would this have anything to do with it?

Also, since your AMD machine is running a NVIDIA card, could you possibly post your 3D settings in NVIDIA Control Panel, and the current settings you use (to the T prefferably if you got time) when you run Zelda? Obviously I tried using the default settings from the get-go when I download new SVN versions, but thus far it's been a no go.

I suppose it could be my RAM but I sort of doubt since I can run new games just fine with max settings. I also believe I read somewhere on this forum that Dolphin is more CPU dependent than GPU dependent so, I dunno. Any suggestions are welcome.

got the same error, nothing helps.

to solve it :
- download an old version (maybe 3404 from main page)
- play until you can save (real save, not savestate !)
- copy save to new dolphin
Dolphin with Quadcore Support soon ? ....Attention : knowledge inside
