I fixed my earlier issue with the heat effect by simply playing the NTSC version instead - the AR code for it is working like a charm now. And to be fair the NTSC version of the game seems to run much smoother than the PAL version does. Can't say I have anything to back that statement up with, but it might be worth trying if you're experiencing lag and you're playing the PAL version.

Generally I walk like 5 seconds and then get black screen. Usually happens in the outside. Don't remember it happening inside.

I walked up the steps and into the big door, killed the mice and the 3 other enemies with no issues, then walked back outside...

It seems as if I can get through the area if I "fix item hang" and turn off "OpenMP Texture Decoder". Although "fix item hang" gets rid of most of the sound :S

Probably just some driver issue for you, not sure though. You're using 3.0-630-64Bit?

Yeah I am.

EDIT: I can turn "fix item hang" off now that I'm out of there and have no issues. :S

I decided to try that Disable Heat Effect AR Code today and WOW it worked.
I was actually skeptic to this, but now I don't see how I could play Dragon Roost without this in future playthroughs. AMAZING...
