Really? I thought, WindWaker belongs to the group of the games which requires a little bit more processing power Confused

I read (from NV Big Grin) that it is GPU intensive (but afaik it isn't CPU intensive)

Not really, i'd say in the mid lower levels with something like NSMB in the lowest level, dosent need much power to run fullspeed

It isn't a demanding game. To make a comparison Zelda TP and Zelda SS are much more demanding than Zelda WW

Hai guys sorry for the late answer, thanks again for all your help lately. I am not quite satisfied with my results but maybe i should play a while and try not to fret over every small slow down. ^^

Doesn't seem right for me, Zelda TP runs far better than WW on my system.

That totally depends on the location ingame. Hyrule Field at the end of TP is more demanding than almost anything in Dolphin, but Castle Town is nothing compared to the top of the Forsaken Fortress in WW.

Hello,

I discovered Dolphin and his great GameCube emulation these last days. Really made want to play again The Wind Waker, especially with the nice "graphic lifting" you can get with the filters and settings in Dolphin. It's like HD TWW, absolutely great!

My problem is I already encountered some kind of troubles: a black/grey screen (game didn't load...) that I fixed with the option "fix item hang". Then, at the beginning, I had also some troubles with sound disappearing after the cutscene just before you get in the ship to leave your island.
Kinda boring! I saw on many forums the solution was to use LLE audio. So I tried it (and even had to get another "installation" of Dolphin because, due to some settings I guess, LLE didn't get my sound back on my 1st installation. But that's ok with the new Dolphin folder, and I could copy the save) but unfortunately, using LLE doesn't allow me to run the game smoothly with the graphics settings I had expected and that really made me want to play this game again.

So here is the fact: I know I won't be able to play it (...with the graphics I want) using LLE audio. And the question is: is that game 100% playable with HLE audio, or will I at some point of the game, face some "unfixable" troubles with music or others stuffs? That's not a problem if I must at some point use real time saves. I just don't want to waste my time if I won't be able to get through the full game with HLE audio (with keeping music and sound, of course!).

Thanks in advance for your answers.

What are you saying? your pc is more than powerful enough to run it with LLE audio and full HD, post your settings in screenshots please, HLE will cause black screen freezes every now and then

That's strange then, I might be using wrong settings so... But when I tried yesterday with HD settings and LLE, that was not smooth and the sound was totally fucked up like my comp' was not powerful enough to emulate the sound at normal speed with LLE. That was pretty boring to play with that laggy sound.

Here are all my settings, didn't experiment that much tough.
