No... they're two whole different things. Search the forums if you want to know the hows and why's as it has been explained countless times.

Set your IR to x3, disable AA, set EFB Copies to Texture (as earlier suggested) and uncheck cache, finally disable XFB (External Frame Buffer).

Thanks for your answer.
I know they are not, but I was optimistic that gamecube emulation would run as smooth.

Tried your suggested settings but not much changed and without any AA the distant objects look too crappy for my taste.

I see. Is the game slow at all times, or does it slowdowns at certain areas? If so - which areas?
It's quite possible that your CPU throttles due to the heat.
Therefore you should download RealTemp and run it.
Play some Wind Waker for around 20-30 mins and report back here with your maximum temperatures.

EFB means Embedded Frame Buffer. You probably meant XFB.

Yeah, I took the capital letters of External Frame Buffer and made it an acronym.
In my haste I forget to double-check what I wrote. Thank you for the catch, the post is now edited as we speak to avoid spreading misinformation.

Use Dolphin 3.0 (the official release) and try with default settings (but uncheck Dual Core)

With a single core CPU, the game will run in slow-mo. Do you really want this? Well, set IR to 1x, check "Cache Display Lists" and "Skip EFB Access from CPU" and set EFB Copies to Texture.

But you won't gain many FPS.

btw: buy a new PC Wink

Really? I thought, WindWaker belongs to the group of the games which requires a little bit more processing power Confused
