Hello all !

First, I'm french so if I have a bad English, all my apologizes.

Well, I have a problem with Wind Waker. After viewing Ganondorf for the first time, the big bird throw the player in the sea. We meet the red boat, the Red Lion (? ; « Lion rouge » in French). It asks to go on an island and buy a sailing (i'm not sure if I translate it in english as well).

But… After the cutscene, the boat starts to speak and asks if I already find the sailing. I press the A button, but it doesn't stop speaking, it says the same text.

If somebody can help me, please. It's impossible to play. My config is in my profile. I already tested without activating Action Replay codes, it's the same.

I would certainly hope so. They would be in serious trouble with 3rd party developers (again) if their new system couldn't keep up with 6 year old hardware.

Depending on where you're reading from some stuff is speculation and some specs are actually confirmed (for example nintendo has confirmed that they will be using a quad core powerpc based cpu).

Why would you not want to use EFB copy to RAM, and internal resolution x1? If it fixes the problem, why not use it? Is it just because you can't enhance the graphics in the game?

Hey everyone, first time poster here. I'm at the 3rd temple currently in Wind Waker, and even with my mediocre GPU, i'm getting pretty much perfect speeds. Only thing i've seen is in the fire temple main room, the smoke has kind of a graphical problem of sorts, it's hard to describe, but my speed stays at almost 100% throughout.

If you're thinking of Dragoon Roost temple then there is no way fixing that problem, everyone have it despite system used.
It's not so bad after a while, you'll get used to it in a jiffy.
The temple is very much completable.

Hello all,

Downloaded Dolphin 3.0 yesterday and have been playing Wind Waker and I must say, I'm blown away by how great the emulator runs - as well as how good WW looks. Currently running at 1080p and it really looks fantastic.

I've read through the last few pages and the wiki, but am a little stumped with a couple of things:
- I can't use the AR code to get rid of the flame effect, for some reason Enabling Cheat Codes seems to make Wind Waker crash on start-up. It's not too big an issue and the game is still playable, just wonder if anyone has found a fix for this.

- My graphics settings do not seem to take effect until I manually click on the Graphics options in Dolphin while the game is running. I understand this has something to do with the .ini file so I modified the pertinent file (GZLP01 according to the ISO's properties) to adjust the "EFBToTextureEnable" to "True" however this had no effect. Neither did deleting all of the video hacks from the .ini file (which I've since re-enabled).

Any ideas why the graphics settings always need to be reset?

Again, not a desperate issue - the emulator seems to work great! Smile

Ah - actually running the latest Mac version of 3.0 which is 3.0-427 I believe.

Does the Mac version have any issues that the PC version doesn't?

And to clarify with the resetting graphics issue - it's only the blocky background issue that benoit489 was experiencing (here), not a full reset of all the settings.

Using AR to get rid of the Flame effect? Who came up with that hoax?
The only thing to do is to wait for a future version of Dolphin that have this fixed which can take a while.

And try not to use cheats, you seen what have happened right, yeah it crashed.

If you have any possibility, try to get a hold of a Windows 7 copy and run it in Bootcamp on the Mac. You'll see everything will run better with with Windows 7 and DX9 instead of OSX and OpenGL
