I just did that and it still looks the same. I also tried to do 4xSSAA and 9xSSAA but those don't clean up the image all too well and they kill my performance.

Hmm. Are your graphics drivers updated? Try unselected V-Sync. Try reducing IR.
Just throwing things out now.

Make sure your settings are as follows:
d3d9
set your fullscreen/windowed resolution as high as your monitor supports
4x IR
scaled efb turned on
external frame buffer disabled
efb copies set to texture

And check the game properties file to make sure nothing silly is going on in there. If you do all of that and it still looks crappy then it's not dolphins fault.

One very annoying bug I have come across is the Anisotropic Filtering.

It does not want to apply itself to the game when it is started.

I have to open the graphic settings and then close them to apply AF.

Does anyone know of a fix that will automatically apply AF when this game is started?

The game looks really blurry without AF.

Thanks.
EDIT: Resolved in a later post.

Probably your game ini disables AF for ZWW for whatever reason (prolly breaks stuff or you changed it unintentionally).

Lugia's issue is what was wrong with my game. I had to start the game and then click on graphics and close it again to apply the AF. All of the blurriness is gone now.

Hey everybody!

New member here - I love the emulator, it's a blast playing Wind Waker on my iMac!

I have one issue, though. I enable Cheats in the config, after having added, and applied the action replay code to disable the heat effect on Dragon Roost Island. However, enabling cheats of any kind (even when no Action replay codes are selected) crashes the emulator when I attempt to load my save states. Using the NTSC version of the game here.

Here is the error code I get when Cheats are enabled (but I haven't selected any cheats, or my Fix Heat Effect). I get the same error code when Cheats are enable AND I have selected my Action Replay code (003F6B2A 00000000, added in the Action Replay manager) to fix the heat effect.

ERROR: Compiling at 0. LR=00000000 CTR=80283bbc

The emulator then just hangs at whatever screen I was on before I attempted to load a save state.

Wind Waker always runs at full speed, at 2x internal resolution and 1280x720 fullscreen. I use the recommended settings. My hardware is:

3.06 Intel Core i3 (Quad Core)
ATI Radeon HD 4670
4GB Ram.

I have tried this with just about every combination of graphical tweaks. Can't get it to work! Can anybody help me?

I apologize if I have not included information that is normally needed to diagnose problems. Let me know if so!

It has nothing to do with AF. Efb copy to ram causes the background to become pixelated/blurry because ram copies have to be rendered/copied at there native resolution. Efb copy to ram is enabled in the game property .ini file for this game because it fixes the pictobox issue, the game property .ini overrides the global settings EXCEPT when you open/change the global settings while the game is running.

Go to your dolphin directory /User/Gameconfig, locate the file GZLE01.ini, open it in notepad and scroll down to the bottom,
change EFBToTextureEnable = False
to
EFBToTextureEnable = True
This will make the game background look better but will break the pictobox (so don't complain about that).
