Given that the user have dumped the necessary files in the first place.
But yeah that's the solution to fix it really.

LLE is usually helpful to avoid crashes in cutscenes. Just to know I personaly had no crashes in this game. What about you?

Never a problem with anything really since the day I dumped the files and used DSP LLE.
It's amazing how much switching from DSP HLE to DSP LLE really can fix.

Only if your pc can handle it though, huh, did you underclock dude, why?,

Anyway you can play with HLE and use LLE if you're blocked by a crash. Cheap but helpful Tongue

Nah not really a underclock, 3.4GHz is the stock clock of this baby. I have OC'ed it before and could OC it again but I wouldn't gain that much speed/FPS really. Stock clock gives me good speeds in everything I throw at it with Dolphin.

It also turbo boosts to 3.8GHz, unless you turned that off. I hope you realize that if you change the turbo multiplier instead of doing an "old fashioned overclock" that it will only raise the clock rate when it's needed (when the core hits 100% load).

Hyper-Threading is the only thing I turned off with the rest default, Turbo-Boost should be on and I know that very well with the Turbo multiplier.

These days I just let the Turbo-Boost do it's thing.

The game "looks blurry" in high resolutions (more for the more distant objects). It's a typical bloom issue. Using Bleach vs Crusade Hack fixes it, using an internal resolution much higher than the rendered resolution helps, 4x SSAA works but is waayyyyy too slow for my GPU.

The heat problem AFAIK can not be fixed without using 1x native, which looks awful compared to the higher resolutions... or I think you can turn it off and break some other game effects by turning off the EFB. Someone should make a hack patch for this if it's not going to be fixed anytime soon, because aside from this one (rather huge IMHO) issue and the bloom blur the game is perfect.

Oh, and minor issue, Hyrule wasn't black and white like it was supposed to be.

Was it the second time? The black and white effect worked fine on 3.0 for me a while ago.

IIRC, it's black-and-white the first time you go when all the enemies are frozen.. but it was never black-and-white, either time I went. When I was first lowered down into Hyrule as well, there were bars on the top and bottom where the graphics didn't quite get rendered seemlessly or something. [It's a GeForce GT 230M]

Also one other small thing, it's been since the game came out I played it on a real gamecube, but I don't think the textures for the Armos Knights/Statues is supposed to look like... that.. is it?

I can't express just how beautiful this old Gamecube game looks it 720 or 1080p.

When I use LLE recompiler, the audio lags behind the video. When I tried interpreter it freezes, but doesn't crash.

Edit: Adding my specs to my sig, should be there in a little bit

I'm quite new, but it seem's that this is the general discussion of Wind Waker, correct me if i'm wrong though please Smile.

I would like to ask how well Wind Waker will run at maximum graphical settings with this hardware: I have an I5 760 X4 Lynnfield @2.8 GHZ (Probably overclocking later) and later getting an AMD 5970 2 gig (They we're on massive sale, but I have to wait to get it :\ ) And I have 3 gigs of RAM @1333Mhz, 3 1 gig chips.

Does Dolphin benefit from major speedups if you have a really good GPU? I'm guessing so. But some emulators use a lot of CPU work with textures.

And since Gamecube's run on Radeon architecture, is there any benefit from having a Radeon/AMD card in emulation, vs Nvidia?

I'm really loving dolphin, though. And the texture enhancement options are amazing. I've tested out all maximum settings (9x AA 16x Filtering, etc.) and it looks by far better than the game on console.

And what is the best HD texture pack, if any for Wind Waker?

I probably seem like a question whore now, so i'l end before I start asking if there will ever be 18x AA Wink

Thanks!

There's no benefit for Radeon GPUs. I doubt there will ever be 18x AA, it's too ridiculous. A faster GPU may not mean a speedup, depending on the CPU. A better GPU just means you can raise IR and AA without losing frames.
The best texture pack? Maybe this: http://www.mediafire.com/?fh6h8exn8v5scf5
It's just HUD textures though. I've tried a bit with retexturing WW and its not easy. Most of the textures are UV mapped horribly because they are a solid color so making them not solid looks like shit with some spots really stretched out.

Can anyone tell me if there is an EU AR code for disabling heat effects? In wiki there is 1 but doesn't seem to work with EU.

Many thanks.

Also the zoom in effect does not work for me. I simply can't play it with that heat effect. It is causing my head to explode.
