Disable external frame buffer, set texture cache all the way to fast, turn off SSAA. See if any of those helps.

I started a new game and witnessed the black screen and audio desync from the cutscenes problems. Those, I can deal with because of the patch. But right after I completed the first 'dungeon' (the tower, can't remember the name lol) I have absolutely no sound besides Link's footsteps.

Did I just enter the twilight zone and is there a way to fix this?

Dolphin: Windows x64 r7719
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium x64 SP2
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 840 ~3.2GHz (Quad)
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
RAM: 4gb

EDIT: Yeah i don't know how this worked but I unticked the "enable dtk music" from DSP and sound started working again perfectly.

What patch do you need to fix the audio desync problems with the latest build of dolphin?

There is none.

I have spent a good week or more getting the various problems in this game fixed, and have managed to successfully get through them all (aside from the tingle tuner but im nearly there with that one).

For the sound issue, use LLE if you have a powerful enough PC (requires a little setup, and 2 file dumps from your console, but im sure with a little googling you can find out how), or HLE sound, and enable the separate thread option.

For graphical issues, I have found by enabling RAM Caching in the Graphics option menu, the Pictobox works perfectly, and lowering the resolution fixes the odd graphical glitches, such as the weird texture effects from heat haze, and 2-5 second hang on taking pictures.

In all honesty though, you can usually get most games running perfectly or near perfect by simply going through each setting one at a time until you land on the money. OpenGL also seems to work very well with Wind Waker, so this is a good backup if you just want to play with the same resolution as it was on the GameCube.

Been running the game decently with no problems other than the occasional black screen after dungeons. I got a black screen after the scene with Ganondorf after the bird boss, tried the fix item hang and that didn't do anything, now the only things I get are the two load up screens, but no main menu. I've got a save state after the boss, but it's not playing the scene when I try to trigger it.
Tried flicking various settings, with no luck. I've also redownloaded dolphin and put the savestate back in, but that's done nothing either.

Running on..
Dolphin 3.0 Windows x64
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955, 3.2GHz
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4800
4gb ram
DX9

Quote:or HLE sound, and enable the separate thread option.

That option doesn't affect HLE. That's why it's called LLE on thread.

Except it's much slower on some rigs and has the exact same issues as d3d9.

Also openGL supports high resolutions just like d3d9 does.

Both are recommended on the wiki however I'm curious about two things.

1. What revision did you use? You never mentioned this.

2. Did you have both virtual (texture) and ram efb copy on or just ram? Also what was safe texture cache set to?

@machinest

Just keep doing it until it works.

Also, you can try LLE if you have the necessary files.

Just started this today (release 3.0), been able to get it run steadily at 30fps as long as anti-aliasing is turned off (i'm assuming this is due to 2.7ghz). There's a slight audio stutter during cutscenes but it's negligible.

Nope. Anti-aliasing only affects gpu load. If your gpu can't keep up your performance will drop when you raise AA.
