There was a way I did it but it was after I passed DR and got to the pre boss room in Forbidden Woods, and I have since forgotten exactly how I changed my settings. If your video card is DX11 capable and you have DX11, try using D3D11.

I have dx10, but I really don't see how that can help... Tried open gl and EFB to texture as well, as far as i know there is no solution? I'm talking about the "flickering image" (makes it unplayable @ dragon roost) and not the "transparent" fire effect or what you call it... Don't wanna play on my gamecube as it looks horrible on my 40" hdtv

I'm wondering this as well. I'm at Dragon Roost as well struggling because of the graphic glitch inside the dungeon where the screen just keeps kind of flickering. I've managed to far fairly far through it so far (probably about 2/3rds of the way through) but I've tolerated it as long as I can before I feel like I'm going to have a seizure.

I've tried everything I know and it doesn't get any better. I'll try OpenGL later and play around with some settings and see if I can get it fixed. I'd really like to get this fixed so I can finish TWW and move on to TP.

Note: I've tried the things listed in the Wiki and none of them fix the problem. There's one setting that kind of reduces it a little bit, but it's still too bad to try to look at.

Give up. No combination of settings can fix it.

We have been telling this to several people per day for the last 3 years, and yet still they come, asking the same question over and over again. Some of them even insist that we must be wrong, but they never come back with a solution, because they never find one. It's gotten so bad that I have practically stopped posting in this thread recently. People either don't read or they read that there isn't a solution and then ask anyways. If it ever gets fixed or someone finds a solution we will add it to the wiki or the thread! The reason the problem is listed with no solution is because there is no known solution, it's that simple. I wish I could make them go away somehow (by the way this is not directed at you Mistwaver, I'm just ranting now).

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to play Wind Waker on r7718M on my XP x32 (Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3 GHz, 2GB RAM, GeForce GT240 1GB). Everything went fine (except some rare crashes and the well known fire blurring problem) until Link got rescued by the boat and has been sent to search for a sail. Just after this cutscene the screen fades to black. There are no error messages, I've been waiting for some time, but the screen remains black. I've turned on the "Fix item hang" patch and disabled audio throttle, it doesn't resolve the issue. Is there something I forgot to check?
Thanks in advance!

Did you redo the whole cutscene with the Fix item hang hack checked? Other than that, there's nothing but LLE which can fix that, if it keeps happening after like 3 or 4 tries.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me quickly the best settings for Dolphin r7719M with Wind Waker.

My specs are:
RAM: 2gb
Processor: Inel Pentium Dual CPU T3200 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
System type: 32-bit
Manufacturer: Toshiba
Model: Satellite L305

---

I realize it's no the best PC but I really want to run this game, could someone tell me the best settings that will make it run very smooth?

First step: Don't use 7719.
Second step: Use 6505 or 6515.
Third step: Make graphics settings as low as possible. You didn't give your GPU, but I will assume it sucks. Lower resolution to 1x or lower, and disable fog and play with speed hacks in the graphics settings.
Other than this, there's nothing to do but suck up slow gameplay and get a better comp.

I set all the graphics on low, it helped out a little bit (brought my Speed up to about 30%, not much)

I have no clue where you are getting 7719, could you at least tell me where this number is located in dolphin's config?

(also my GPU is Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family I think...)

Well that's about as high as you are going to get. Sorry, I meant Revision 7719. Try out revision 6505 or 6515 in the archives on the download page. That should help a little, but that all you can do with that laptop.
