Yes. It causes objects to disappear near the borders of your screen (inside the area that would normally not be rendered in 4:3 mode).

I'm using the latest official version of Dolphin (r7608 x64).

Is this to be expected, or is there any way I can work around this? Sorry if it has already been stated in this thread, but it's over 130 pages, so...

Uncheck Audio Throttle and LLE on Thread...

Tried that now. Same issue.

Disable the item hang patch.. It fuxxors both HLE and LLE audio, the patch is not even needed anymore and hasn't been for the last 2000 revisions so I don't know why anyone is enabling the patch in recent revisions.

What are you interested in knowing? Like I said, I'm running the 64-bit version of the latest official build in Windows 7 64-bit. Intel Core i5 650 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 graphics card.

I've already disabled that. Didn't make a difference.

EDIT: Huh! This is interesting. If I start a new game, I can hear the sound. However, if I load my save state from before, there's no sound anymore. Guess I'll have to restart and see if it works.

hi everyone. this game is amazing but i really don't know if i want to re-play it with so few sounds on dolphin r7608... the music starts at the beginning but just for the first chapter of the game. then many of the sounds including the music just go away. i basically just hear the footsteps and few other sfx... the rest of the game is emulated pretty well as far as i went.

my specs are: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550(2.83Ghz) - Asus P5Q-E - Radeon HD4850 512MB Sapphire

You likely loaded a save state that was made when you had the item hang patch enabled so of course you would have audio when you start a new game or load a game from the memory card.

hey i turned on the fix item patch cause i got a black screen after the island with the deku tree (http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Wind_Waker) and i turned off the patch and restarted dolphin and my sounds back to normal!

also i had a horrible time on dragon roost island. nothing i did would stop the screen tearing and i couldn't turn off fire effects. hmm should i have turned on v-sync? well too late since i got past it, but would be nice if someone could confirm that idea though.

hey where do i put the HLE patch file? http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=9120 its not letting me download the 64bit btw

basically that's what happened to me: the sound worked fine (the bg music in particular) but at the end of the first chapter I got a hang black screen... so i activated the "fix item hang" and it went on in the game but the sound were not working anymore. so I tryed to uncheck the item hung but it does not fix the sound anymore, not only in my saves but also if I try playing the game from the beginning. so i tryed to refresh the games list and then reload the game and if I go from the beginning the game the sound works againg but if i try to get back my savegame with F1 it crashes

EDIT: i forgot to say I run the 32-bit version

im playing windwaker with 14 fps.. my PC specs are:

windows 7 32bit
amd phenom 9550 quad-core processor 2,20 ghz
3 gb ram
ATI Radeon HD 5450 1gb

My CPU:usage doesn't go over 50% while I am playing.. So I doubt it is my PC specs, Anyone have an idea what it is that makes the FPS drop?
