Because when you look at the code it makes no sense.

Hi guys!
I'm sure this have been asked before, but I found it difficult to read throu 100+ pages. Big Grin
Anyway, Wind Waker looks stunning! Finally I can play it in 720p with video projector.
The thing is, I made it to the dragon roost dungeon, and the heat effect is absolutley horrible. It's killing me eyes I'm sure about that. I tried to pull myself together and play throu it but just could not.
So is there any way to disable the heat effect, or even better, to make it work? I'm using R7442.

Thanks! Smile

EDIT: I almost feel bad for posting this in the first place. Accidentally clicked a few pages back and there it is, so it's still broken? Ouch. No hack to disable the effect or anything?

Not that I can think of no.
I haven't been in the Dragon Roost dungeon in ages, but I have to check it out once again.
But to tell you the truth I wasn't that bothered with it.

Let me end this once and for all:

NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
NO

I would appreciate it if this was added to the OP so that people will stop asking.

Ha ha I'll guess there we have the answer then.
But I remember that it wasn't that bad at all.

EDIT: Ah so that's how the Dragon Roost dungeon looked like again, even though it was finished I played through it again just to see these so called heat effects and I actually think it doesn't look that bad, it was just as my memory told me more then enough playable.

Heh, one "NO" would have been enough.
Well I think I just need to play it throu, I'm glad heat wave effect is not in every room of the dungeon. Smile
Thanks!

Oh by the way, would it be hard to create a patch or a hack that would disable the heat effect?
I could not do it, but if it would not be extremely hard, it would rock! Smile Just at thought!

I think it will probably take a while before we can see the light of day for something like that.
The game as it is today is more then perfect, at least that's how I feel.

Yeah, I guess so. I don't have that kind of technical understading. Smile
Anyway, I'm glad Dragon Roost is that short, completed it and to be honest it wasn't that horrible after playing it little while.
So if there are other gamers just take your time and play it! Takes only maybe 30 minutes.

Yes, it could be done with a projection hack quite easily. But it would f**k up the game so badly you wouldn't be able to play it (HUD elements and anything else done post-processing would be affected as well).

Ah good, I thought I was gonna need to PM you. I've not finished yet, but I thought I might aswell give people alook at some of the stuff I've been doing.

- Most main menu images replaced (A few images left to replace)
- Path, grass, clouds and rock floor textures replaced (though I'm not totally happy with a few of them, they look a bit too clean)
- Telescope image replaced (I was going to replace as many of the menu images as possible but Dolphin is a bit annoying for replacing textures and has disheartened me)
- First island map replaced.
- Nintendo Logo and Dolby Logo replaced.

Same instructions as last time. Copy the GZLE01 directory into User/Load/Textures.

Download Link

PS For a look at how the Dolphin texture loading is broken, have a look in the Telescope directory (those make the image work for the first island area of the game Dodgy).
PPS It's not as easy as it looks, but feel free to critique and use anything of mine.
PPPS I thought that I should make it clear that this is still much more Benito's pack that mine.

Edit: Added higher resolution rupee counter.

I put the folder in the required location, but there is no difference in the game. What can I do to get this to work?
