I don't know about any of that. But so far this has happened to me twice.
When I first went onto the pirate ship, I got a black screen
and when I met my own sail boat, I got a black screen
and in both cases the 'no hang item' has helped...

It was probably coincidence. Remember, correlation does not prove causation.

Hey everyone! I'm curious to ask how much of a graphics improvement I could make the game run with my current laptop. I don't expect it to be amazing but adding some AA would be amazing. What do you guys think?

Intel Core i5 CPU 2.27GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M 1GB GDDR5
4GB RAM
Windows 7 64 Bit

Well I don't know what it is, but I just tried it with no graphical enhancement and it was rather slow. Like after the intro movie, when the game actually starts it dropped to about half the normal speed. I'm using r7478

I used the settings that are in the Dolphin website as a quick and dirty guide to improve dolphin and then I changed sound to LLE .

LLE tends to be slow, but you can try DSPLLE on thread (only if you have more that 2 cores my guess is you do not [or if you want to run in single core mode witch would probably go even slower]and would only give you a small speed boost).

Why do you think so? It was suggested a few times by a few users and it did help me. I had the black screen issue at the deku tree for two times before I read about the "fix item hang". The third time with the fix enabled there was no black screen (also reported by a few other users) so I'm pretty sure there must be a connection...
