Hello all!

First time dolphin user here and i was hoping that any1 here knows how to improve my fps, im dipping under 30 when i hit monsters and also now that i got to the first fortress im geting 20-24 fps while im in there, it looks like there is fog even though i turned it off in dolphin, im not sure if its the resolution that dips my fps that much. Im running at 1080 atm and using the direct3d9 plugin.

my comp is a laptop with i5 2.4ghz and a radeon 5870 1gig 5gddr ram so i feel i should be able to play stable but i might be way off in how much these games require Tongue

thanks in advance =)

I'm sure many people know, but then again there's hundreds of people asking this each day..

Welcome to the forums. Care to read the numerous FAQs and especially the performance guide on dolphin-emu.org ? Wink

NeoBrain you're started to get a bit grumpy. Just let me handle these, you focus on serving us up some more delicious d3d9 fixes (because that's the only plugin I give a damn about Tongue).

Just so you know I cover the twilight princess, wind waker, and metroid prime threads.

@roasted
Try turning off audio throttle, turning off emulate format changes, turning off accurate texture cache, turning off pixel lighting, turning off SSAA, and setting efb copy to texture.

Hello!
I have been following this thread for a while now and I wanted to know, is it normal that I get 15~20 fps outdoor at outset island with this computer?

Core2Duo E7400 2.8Ghz
2Gb DDR2
8600GTS
WinXp 32Bits

I want to know because, I've been following the guides here and on wiki, but for some reasons a get very bad fps, I have EFB>ram everything else is blank on D3D9, resolution is at 640x480 (even tho i have a 1680x1050 monitor) I want to know if I can get 30Fps constant on that island, or at least not going under 24 Blush If so, I'll try to read over again this Thread to get the best Config for my Dolphin! Big Grin

Thanks!!

but whenever it goes into a cutscene the vps always goes down to like 40 and the sound get completly desync... is there any way to prevent that?

Maybe if every second post on these forums is telling the author of every other second posts (noobs asking stuff which was already said elsewhere), they start using the search function :>

Use efb to texture for this game.

Is there anything wrong with my settings?

I've been looking around the net to get best settings possible, and people with lower specs than mine can run WindWaker at full speed, how come I can't? could it be my Iso? I've tried tons of Rev including 2.0 and that's what I get

.bmp   Dolphin Game.bmp (Size: 142.09 KB / Downloads: 188)

my specs is: Core2Duo E7400 2.8Ghz, 2Gb DDR2, GeForce 8600GTS, WinXp 32bits.

I've also been lookin on Dolphin speed boost guide, but it really doesn't help me, I've looked on wiki setting too, and it doesn't help either, I've updated my graphic drivers and my DX software, I don't know what to do, I really need help plz Sad
