The second player's GBA connects very slow while the other runs fine as well with Dolphin runs fine too. We've tried redoing the audio, Any suggestions on that?

I using the latest build of dolphin and still can't connect 2 or more GBA "controllers". Maybe because of DSP LLE. I have an original copy of the game and the gamecube itself, but i wanted to play on Dolphin. How can i make a dump of DSP LLE of my game/gamecube to work and what folder on dolphin should i use?
My specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 x64 Processor/CPU: intel I7 3770 3.4 Ghz Video Card/GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1060 6GB Memory/RAM: 16 GB Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 5.0-xxxx X64 (always the latest) and the latest Ishiiruka for custom textures. I'm still learning english. Please, be patient with me. And, if i make a mistake, please correct me, i will learn a lot this way! 02-20-2017, 07:55 AM
Current Setup
Dolphin 3.5 (Downloaded from Dolphin website) / VBA-M R1191 (Downloaded from EmuCR) - 4x Seperate folders for each instance of VBA-M, using 4 seperate BIOS files - 4x Wireless xbox 360 controllers, each connected and configured through vba-m for some reason i have no trouble getting an initial connection, but it always drops out randomly. I often cant get past the main cinematic when first starting the game. sometimes the VBA instance may restart, but sometimes it is still on and seemingly working while dolphin thinks it has disconnected. I tried increasing the timeout on VBA-M (in joybus options) but that didnt help. not sure what's happening and I've yet to see another mention of it online. any ideas? I have a video below. I'm using old versions of each software because the new dolphin wouldn't connect to VBA for me for some reason. https://youtu.be/1XtfRamf134 the relevant stuff starts to occur at about 1:10 THANK YOU!! 02-20-2017, 08:38 AM
You can't use Dolphin 3.5 if you want help, as it is ancient and unsupported. You need to update to at least Dolphin 5.0 if you want support.

I did play with it (again) after posting. I could only get one instance of VBA-M working, and if i went to a newer version of VBA-M it wouldnt work at all. I Can't get the 2nd,3rd and 4th controllers connected though :/ EDIT: I got it to work using DSP LLE, however its the same issue as the old version. random disconnect between dolphin & VBA EDIT 2: tried again with the latest vba-m as well, it was able to connect now that LLE is enabled, and it doesnt even do that weird lag thing its just immediate. seems great so far! 03-24-2017, 04:00 PM

5.0-2877
I tried going to both versions of DSP LLE, but it crashes VBA-M Hard. HLE Works, but there's no audio. EDIT: I've only just tried playing Dolphin with a GBA Emulator, so I have the latest available VBA-M Version, whichever it currently is. 07-08-2017, 04:54 AM

I'm having the exact same problem, and "Pause when inactive" is unchecked in my VBA-M's. No idea what the problem could be. I can only have 1 active VBA-M at the same time :-( tried multiple VBA-M and Dolphin versions, all had the same problem. I can get the VBA-Ms to connect to the Dolphin without an issue, but can then only move one Link at the same time... 07-08-2017, 09:56 AM
Only one VBA-M can use the keyboard. All of the other VBA-M's need to use a controller.

I'm using multiple Xbox One controllers for different inputs. I'm not using the keyboard. To elaborate a bit more: I've been trying to play Four Swords Adventure with a friend on my laptop and we've gotten very close. I can now connect multiple VBA-Ms to a Dolphin game and have them register as controllers. The game will start, but then, we can't control our VBA-Ms simultaneously, even though "Pause when inactive" is unchecked and we are, ofcourse, using separate controls. When I switch from one VBA-M to the other, by selecting it with my mouse, I can then control the other VBA-M. So I can switch between them, just not use them at the same time! Switching controls from Xbox One controllers to, for example, keyboard, doesn't work either. When I open two VBA-Ms and open a normal GBA game, I can control both of them at the same time. Hence, the problem occurs once I link them to my Dolpin emulator. I've tried using many different versions of both VBA-M and Dolphin, and I've always come across the same problem. These are the versions I've tried: VBA-M: VBA-M-r-1181 VBA-M-r-1229 VBA-M 1206 Dolphin: 3.5-1381 4.0-4811 I haven't gotten the VBA-M link to work with Dolphin 5.0. I'm using Windows 10. I think the problem might be with Dolphin not registering multiple VBA-M inputs at the same time when they are linked? Really hoping that someone here can help! Thank you! 07-09-2017, 09:31 AM
Thanks for the info.
You need to be using the "WX" versions of VBA-M e.g. VBA-M WX 2.0. Also update to the very latest development version of Dolphin. |
