I had to rewrite his hack fix that removes heat effect because it breaks his latest build and because i'm not a complete fucking retard.. not only that but had to cave asm just to get emu to run on a fresh compile; emu is held together by a thread
rewriting the 'widescreen hack' was fun too, like, he doesn't even stop to think that maybe a CONSOLE game has a render fov... why is this put together by a 12 yr old?
you would think the most successful nintendo emu wouldn't be a spaghetti nightmare

To be fair, the Dolphin code base is mostly a pile of crap, but I have this feeling like londasgt blames me for that. I didn't write most of the code, I'm "just" fixing up the broken code and then occasionally out of boredom write hacks like the heat effect removal and then people go all "hype" over it for no reason.

Now that I'm gone, you're the one that's making Dolphin suck!

I'm running the latest stable dolphin on OSX - Super Mario Sunshine runs at 25 fps and 49 VPS always, and at the top of my window it says that this speed is 100%. Is this the native fps of the game or does it run at 30 fps and 60 fps? I'm confused, as 25 fps seems slow. Forcing it up to 60 VPS in the dolphin config settings works, but then everything is just faster (music, movement, etc). Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong?
I assume that you are using the PAL version (as I do)
Many games let you choose whether to play in 50Hz or 60Hz when they are booting .. The thing is that once you have chosen this on one game, Dolphin somehow applies this to all other gcn games .. The result in SMS is that it jumps the question and just runs it at the previously chosen framerate .. If you have other PAL games (gcn) on your PC try if they ask you the 50Hz/60Hz-question and choose 60Hz and quit the game .. Then run SMS and it should either ask you or just run the game at 30fps (60Hz) For me it helps to run Mario Kart Double Dash at 60Hz mode 12-20-2013, 05:21 AM
So I'm trying to run this game on my laptop, and I've been having an issue (not isolated to this game, it happens on Kingdom Hearts 2 PCSX2 and other gamecube games) that I can't find a solution for online. Normally, I get solid FPS, my laptop is not too shabby and can normally play with minimal lag. Sunshine is no different, it runs at a solid 50 for a while, but the moment a character starts to talk in a cinematic, it plummets to the low 20s. This makes the game painfully unplayable. When they stop talking it instantly shoots back up to 50, but when another character begins it drops again. Is this a known issue? Or does it have to do with my laptop?

Why do people prefer D3D over OGL? D3D has that nasty grey screen bug during cutscenes with a ton of games and is a lot slower than OGL in a lot of cases.
