Hi folks. I'm trying to get Super Mario Sunshine up and running with the hi-res texture and hud pack. Having some issues though. Anyone have any idea why the text is unreadable?
I'm running Dolphin 4.0 on i7 4.5ghz oc'ed, 680 gtx, and 16 gb ram. The issue occurs if I have IR, AA, and AF on or off. If I uncheck 'Load Custom Textures' the text is readable, although in low-res. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? ![]() ![]() 10-22-2013, 06:59 AM
What graphics backends have you tried? Does it occur in all of them?
Also, turn off anisotropic filtering to fix the water. ![]() Windows 10 x64 | Core i9-9900k | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 EVGA FTW3 Ultra| 32GB DDR4-3000 | Asus Xonar Essence STX on Logitech Z-2300 | Logitech G903 Hero

If so, then yes I'm using that one. I tried DX9. The hi-res textures are present, but not the hi-res hud. Although, the text is legible. Strange... Edit: Got it! When changing from DX11 to DX 9, I had to change the Text Cache Accuracy to 'Safe'. That changed the hud to hi-res ![]() 10-22-2013, 10:37 AM

That changed the hud to hi-res Just for future reference, DX11 (now just D3D in the most recent revisions) doesn't currently support Custom Textures, iirc. OpenGL and DX9 support it though. Eventually, DX11 (again, now called D3D) will support it (hopefully). 10-22-2013, 11:42 AM

Unless someone reports the issues, I doubt that it will be fixed. 10-23-2013, 01:09 AM

Support is hit or miss though, so it's currently broken. It's an issue with Dolphin, not the texture packs afaik. It has been reported before (actually more than once, there are some duplicate issues). Like I said, hopefully it will get fixed soon since a lot of people are going to rely on D3D11 if they stick with the very latest revisions. Here's the issue if anyone wants to follow it/contribute info for the devs: http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=5748 10-23-2013, 01:26 AM
Thanks for the information. It would be nice if it got fixed soon along with many D3D11 issues.

Let's get one thing straight. Removing the heat effect is a hack. The heat effect is supposed to be there. Nintendo put it there. It's working fine. There is nothing to "fix". The hack breaks an effect that Nintendo put into the game.
