It's the only thing I changed in the config file:

# GLRD64, GLRE64, GLRF64, GLRJ13, GLRP64 - Star Wars - Rogue Squadron III - Rebel Strike

[Core]
# Values set here will override the main Dolphin settings.
MMU = 1

[EmuState]
# The Emulation State. 1 is worst, 5 is best, 0 is not set.
EmulationStateId = 4
EmulationIssues =

[OnLoad]
# Add memory patches to be loaded once on boot here.

[OnFrame]
# Add memory patches to be applied every frame here.

[ActionReplay]
# Add action replay cheats here.

[Video]

[Video_Settings]
UseXFB = True
UseRealXFB = False

[Video_Hacks]
# EFBToTextureEnable = False

I am using the Vulkan backend, FXAA shader, HLE, Cubeb audio, no time-stretch, and progressive scan in the GUI

I keep getting crashes past the title screen.

Fixed in the latest Dev build.
It seems the latest Nvidia driver dropped support for a Vulkan extension and it broke Vulkan for many titles.
(Broken extension was replaced with a workaround by Stenzek)

The game still doesn't work for me using Vulkan, D3D11 or OpenGL, even with the latest dev builds.  It always comes up with the "Unknown Opcodes" errors after the disco intro and either crashes after that or continues onward but with no response to controls.  I see that there are already a couple of bug tickets open for this (9845 and 10672) but nothing's been resolved.   Is anyone able to run this game without having to go back to 5.0 stable?

If you let the cutscene play, this build will allow you to get in-game:

https://dl.dolphin-emu.org/prs/pr-6359-dolphin-latest-x64.7z

For some reason the build-bot has it a 6359 but Github has it labeled #5994?

Any luck you're getting with that particular build is merely luck. There's nothing in that version that will bypass the timing issues we have with the game.

Build 5.0-7597 x64

Vulkan.

Tatooine mission 1 with the land speeder completes.
Mission 2 completed but not in full screen / since a desync may happen / Auto Multable = Yes

Synchronize Threads seems to stop the targeting computer from causing too much problem but threads can still get desynced if resources get low.

I went rogue and loaded everything in to an AMD RAMDISK, blazing fast texture compile speed, 10% game speed improvement over SSD.

That's at least something to report.

Screenshot of mission 2 completion for verification included.

This game has been a nightmare to get running for me. So far its the only one Ive tried I cant play. Ive done everything the Wiki says to do, tried a few ini files and tips from this thread, and its still stuttering like crazy, and it leaves a big purple (sometimes its blue) block over like the top 3/4 of the screen, I cant even see the in game options if there are any to change. I just got Dolphin setup a couple days specifically so I could finally finish this (I never could finish the very last Death Star run on my GC), and now it won't run. Any other tips and tricks I may have missed??

I did make sure Im running the latest build, 5.0-8449. Im trying to run it on a 2010 Mac Pro with a Radeon 5770. I already get a message on screen when I play that my card's openGL driver doesnt support ARB_Buffer_Storage and my performance is going to be terrible, but I don't have many GC games to begin with and so far Robotech Battlecry, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, and Metroid Prime 2 run perfect like if I was playing them on my GC.

That computer couldn't even run that game with good drivers.

Rogue Squadron III is the grand daddy of GameCube games to try to emulate.

Haha yeah it was always my favorite one, I never realized just how much went into it, especially for a GC title, until I started reading up on it trying to get it to work. Now I know why it looked so awesome compared to the rest of em haha. I bought another copy of the first one from GOG and installed it on my Windows drive, and its so funny to see that one now with how far they've come. Oh well I can finally finish Bounty Hunter in the meantime at least.

Yeah, honestly... with current tech, the only way to emulate this full speed would be to make an emulator dedicated toward getting it running. Maybe someone will do it someday. Dolphin will get better as we go, but, it's going to require some crazy PCs to make it full speed.
