Here's a build from my "testing" branch, a huge conglomeration of all the patches I've been working on to speed up Rogue Squadron. It almost certainly has bugs, so I'd like people to report any issues they have in the branch version that aren't in master. Bugs in non-RS games are okay too, since obviously I don't want to break other games either!

Edit at (Mon, 05 Jan 2015 12:41:22 -0800): updated with minor changes and Real Zfreeze (instead of the old hack branch)

Definitely a lot more speed behind RS 3 now.

Using Relics of Geonosis as my test level I was getting 35 - 50 FPS in the space section on the older build this build gets me 45 - 60 FPS with 60 being the FPS the majority of the time.

The on foot section ran 20 - 35 FPS on the old build this new build gets me 45 - 50 FPS. Even got a gold medal when I finished Tongue

Seismic charges actually didn't cause as much lag as I was thinking they would either.

After playing both games i am pretty sure that what kills performance in those games is more the need for efb to ram and lle audio rather than mmu now, good job fiora. MMU is pretty fast in all titles compared to what it was in the past and i need to make a new pr about that to update inis. In these two star war games efb to texture and hle audio more than doubles their speed at times, so only if hle audio was fixed or efb to ram optimized we would see substantial improvement at their emulation speed.

I've been using downclocking to play this game with EFB2RAM and LLE on; putting the clock at 40% is enough that I can pretty much play at full VFPS on my Ivy Bridge 2.6Ghz.

Doesn't seem to work out for me, i still get frame drops with those settings even in the menus, do i need to restart the emulator for the underclocking to work?

I've gotten stuttering from shader compilation, and yeah it's not perfect, but it does seem to run better at least. You shouldn't need to restart; you can change it at any point in game.

How do you think it will fare on a haswell i7 4770k at 4.5Ghz?

Your overclocking/underclocking feature is amazing, thanks!!!!

Wow I didn't know about the overclock. now Im getting 55 - 60 at all parts of the game lol

Heres a video I made before the overclock Using EFB to Texture and lle Audio.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyXqSgYuNow

Im sure I can get full speed now since I found out my GPU bottlenecks at my current IR for these games.
