Oh, and I tried the lle on thread and haven't noticed a difference. Forcing efb2tex was the best thing for me performance wise.

Create a hotkey for switching between efb2ram and efb2tex. Then you can switch it, in case there's a scene which needs efb2ram. And then you don't have to edit the .ini file, just switch it once after the game started.

Hmm, wasn't lle on thread enabled by default now, if you have more than 2 cpu cores. And that's why it vanished from the GUI? Not that i noticed any performance increase by it at all, when doing some tests.

Has there been any improvement speed wise yet? as I always use the first mission as a benchmark on each new build i try and it always seems the same, 70-80% and then 90-100% after the transport destroying bit. When the first mission is running smooth from the beginning i'll know something has changed.

I'm not sure if dolphy is right about the fps getting better, could just be the old placebo effect? seeing what is not there.

The intro still glitches, the death star explodes and the camera moves awkwardly and then the ships fly by and the engine lights are visible through the ships themselves, that also shows me nothing has changed yet.

I know i'm not getting decent speed because my cpu isn't like icestrikes, that i'm fine with, but saying the fps are getting better with each build must either be placebo or only happing for some users.

I only play Rogue Leader because this one is out of my computer's league right now but Fiora's updated build definately gave me a boost: http://dl.dolphin-emu.org/prs/pr-1833-dolphin-latest-x64.7z

yeah, i tried that one but noticed no change at all Sad guess you were lucky.

I can't get dolphin to fully turbo boost my cpu, proper pc games boost my cpu to 3.8ghz and I can raise it 4.2ghz using the intel xtu but dolphin never boosts it higher than 3.5-6ghz. don't know why, it's not throttling either.

the only way I can get it more playable is underclocking in dolphin but it ruins the gameplay as it introduces micro stuttering. 100% speed but it doesn't feel smooth at all.

curse the power of the MMU!

@ slarlac: Hm, I have no experience with those turbo features. But I guess there must be a way to force them, huh? Maybe if you start Dolphin with high priority?

Just make a bat file with this (you might have to change the directory):

@ECHO OFF
START "Dolphin" /HIGH "C:\Games\Dolphin\Dolphin.exe"
EXIT
