You can always use my PR1833 branch; it still has the HLE fix in it.

Is it still the same build from a few weeks ago or does it have recent RS-related stuff merged into it?

It's the same build, but I've updated it a few times; I just rebased it against master, so in a few minutes the buildbot will probably update it.

Okay, so after some testing I discovered it runs a bit better on Fiora's updated build (with the recommended settings). It's definitely more playable but still choppy in some areas especially the on-foot sections (when Luke lands his plane in the first mission). Also I noticed that whenever you activate something for the first time there's a bit of a stutter mainly when switching on the targeting visor (Y). I've seen a slightly similar issue with Metroid Other M (whenever samus turns into a ball the first time you boot). Any idea if this is related to caching? Any clue how to reduce it or get rid of it?

Also, Fiora, is there a place where I can constantly check if you released a new build? Right now it seems to be scattered in-between forums.

Good job, guys. Really happy to see this much progress in so little time. Keep it up and we may soon have a fully playable Rogue Squadron 3.

Yeah, that's the goddamn shader cache, Dolphin greatest remaining issue I'd say...
Ishiiruka gets rid of it by Async Shader Cache Generation (a solution not liked by the other devs, thus it's not in master); check it out on Metroid Other M. However, Ishiiruka has the ZFreeze and stuff implemented but not the HLE fix, so it's not enjoyable right now. (Also keep in mind that it's an unofficial build so don't ask stuff about it outside of its own thread).

I don't actually know anyone who objects to it; as far as I know, the ishiiruka devs just aren't interested in contributing their work. Pretty much every Dolphin dev seems to love the idea.
