Some levels just won't load at all, I spent a week trying to load one of the levels, and when it finally did load, >1 FPS

One of the following WILL ALWAYS HAPPEN to me, and I can't find any reports online of these happening:

1. Game immediately crashes on boot.

2. Game makes it to the intro movie, then crash.

5. Game makes it past the intro screen, lags hard for 10 seconds, but crashes when attempting to load any mission.

6. Game finally makes it into a mission, but after the intro cutscene, your craft is locked in place, only the start button working. Quitting out will force the camera out of bounds in the mission select screen, and all missions will act like this, then the game will randomly crash.  Here's a few clips of this one:

7. Game makes it ingame, none of the above happens, but when I unpause the game crashes with a loud buzzing sound.

Also the most performance I've been able to get out of the game with this rig:

Intel Core i9-10900K
NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER
64 GB DDR4 Memory
Samsung EVO 2TB SSD

is 30 FPS, in both this game and Rebel Strike.  Rebel Strike is even worse - purple screens despite using Ubershaders, constant crashing, audio issues, graphical issues, the works.

This is just sad.  I get it, these games are the most difficult in the library to emulate, but my powerful rig can't play them?  Really?

Ohhh i make an account because suddenly i can't play anymore and i try everything and doesn't work
this is my machine, i can play good, but for some reason emulator crash when mission i'ts gonna start i hope to find some answer here but i can't find it.:

1 x Intel® Core™ i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50GHz,
15.8GB RAM,
Intel® UHD Graphics, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (Mobile),
477GB HDD,

I only tried the first level, for me the game works rather well, except if I pause the game or use the targeting computer, it has a rather high chance to crash. I'm rather casual to the Gamecube emulation scene (I mostly play PS1/PS2), but this the first time I admit defeat. Guess I'll have to hook up the gamecube again.

That tells me you were running the game in dual core mode - both hangs are known issues. Try single core - judging by your specs, your system should be able to handle it.

I think I already tried that. Just need to uncheck the dual core option, right?

Also, now I can't even get to the first mission, the game crashes right before or after the cutscene. It did that 5 times in a row.

Lucky you, first mission won't even load for me. Once I got the first part of the first mission to load, but it crashed during the transition to the next scene.

The most infuriating thing about this game is that you can't brute-force your way through the crashes. From my testing, it seems that if you make a savestate right before it crashes, it will ALWAYS crash if you load that savestate, no exceptions, meaning you can't just load a savestate repeatedly and hope you eventually make it through.

Man, real hardware does all of these transitions and ship switching instantly and with no lag or slowdown, I really hope some kind of progress is made someday, these games deserve it, since unlike the popular games you can run on Dolphin that run perfectly at 8K resolution, these two games were never released on any other system.
